Not sure, they gave Ryder a penalty point before his DQ, but they never gave Nic one??

Do you get team points for the 9th place mini tournament?

141 NCAA seeding is going to be wild. Alirez, Barrett and Mendez all lost on their way to conference finals. Who would have guessed??

No team points are accumulated in the 9th place matches.

How many coaches challenges does a team get in the B1G tournament? Is it different in the NCAA? Nebraska’s coaches are insufferable for their constant complaining. I don’t recall Tervel doing that when he coached in Columbus.

They did kind of get hosed in that Pinto - Braunagel match though

Shawver got a takedown late to tie things. Nic reversed him and had a cradle locked up as time expired. Reversal wasn’t awarded. Officials reviewed for locked hands on Nic but gave him the reversal points. Meanwhile Rutgers coaches chirping at Ryan. Been at each other since Rogotzke dumped Rutgers kid on his head last night.

Thanks, of course I missed it and of course Rutgers coaches are chirping. Seen enough of them and Nebraska.

When your team is getting beat, you tend to argue more.

9/10 auto qualifier spots. Hopefully Rygotske gets a wild card. He should more than likely. Some guys have done well for themselves this weekend. Heading into nationals:
Stock up: Bousakis, Cannon
Stock down: Mendes, Kharchla, Rygotske, Feldman.
Status quo: McCrone, D’Emilio, Gallagher, Shumate

Our big guns did not do themselves any favors this weekend. Mendes, Kharchla, and especially Feldman did themselves no favors. Alirez lost in the Big 12 finals, so 141 should be a lot of fun to seed. Feldman is looking at a fringe AA seed, and with a tough draw could be out of AA range, although I think it gets done.
A true measure of where Cannon is at will truly occur tonight in the finals

125: McCrone was 7th seed but finished 9th. However, he beat 5th seeded Cruz 8-1 in that match. The bracket buster was Rivera, Wiscy, 8th seeded but wrestling for 3rd.

133: Bouzakis came in as the 9th seed but will wrestle for 3rd in spite of losing for the 199th consecutive time to Angelo Rini. Nice job in the cons bracket for Bouzakis. He seems to wrestle better when he loses early (see Vegas results). However, if he makes the NCAA finals in a couple weeks let's just hope Angelo Rini is not his opponent.

141: Mendez (2nd seed) will wrestle for 3rd. Another match with Bartlett. This weight suddenly looks wide open heading into NCAA's

149: DEmilio will wrestle for 5th after coming in as the 4th seed. No shame in losing to Webster or Parco but he needs to finish with a W

Here is the rule for the NCAA tournament.

A coach who has seven to 10 wrestlers competing will start with three challenges available; a coach with four to six wrestlers in a tournament will start with two challenges; and a coach with one to three wrestlers participating will have one challenge.
