Jack if it’s not true I’m done posting on this forum honestly. It would have to be the biggest conspiracy of all time. I had multiple people with sources tied to the the actual police department and arresting officers tell me. Still didn’t want to post. Then when I see the exact same things posted by other people saying they knew people in the police department saying the same thing it can’t be a coincidence at that point. How many police officers can lie about it? And yes the police officer is a wrestler who knows who Kyle Snyder is.
If Kyle Snyder was innocent why would he not come out and say it? It would stop all this madness that is being rumored or gossiped about him if he did that. No one would let this slander happen for two days. Not one person has denied his allegations in Kyle Snyder camp.
Legally he will get a slap on the wrist but this probably eliminates sponsorship and coaching opportunities and I’m sure Rudis drops him. He may be like Pat Downey and have to train independently. No one wants that bad press. Probably his biggest worry is keeping his family together at this point.

Nick, this may have happened over the weekend and hasn't been posted on the county court website yet, I'll check tomorrow and see if something shows up.

Not good. 17 persons in total busted. That's alot of steam getting blown off.
Not sure law enforcement would put together this time and effort just to issue a bunch of misdemeanors.

This makes me sad. I'm not outraged personally.
Hopefully he gets some help in his personal life.

Obviously, a young man with a wife and children, is risking a lot by engaging in this behavior. However, whether it's a hooker or a woman on the side, I see it as a personal matter between he and his wife.
Didn't have this on my bingo card either.

It's problematic because this was an anti-trafficking operation aimed at individuals who might unknowingly support trafficking. It's super reckless and careless to act like that.
I think one of the issues is that athletes have the tendency to get addicted to the highs of competition and actively seek out other avenues to fulfill that need. Addiction takes many forms. Some are socially acceptable and healthy, others not so much.

Stopped rooting for Kyle when he left for NLWC. It wasn’t personal, just business. He made a decision and so did I.
I’m rooting for him again. He’s dealing with some demons that he won’t be able to beat on his own. He needs professional help but also the support of the wrestling community. I hope that he’s extended the grace that we’d hope to get in a similar situation.
I hope his sponsors don’t cast him out but I’m afraid they will. They have certain images to uphold and bottom lines to meet.
NLWC may also distance themselves from him. Setting aside this incident, his performance is slipping and the club already has a better longterm guy at 97 kilograms in Aaron Brooks.

As long as Kyle makes an appropriate apology and owns his actions, he'll be fine. Everyone wants him to come out of this clean.

As long as he does not continue preaching what he used to. You have to walk the walk if you're going to talk the talk.
Also, who cares if he comes out of this "clean?" Is his wife and 2 young children coming out of this clean?

Hank, you raise an interesting point. The arrest was Friday, and the news broke Monday. Here we are Tuesday morning and Snyder hasn’t said a peep. He needs to talk.

Rob--I wasn't commenting on his personal life. I meant in terms of how he's perceived by the wrestling public.
I am not a fan of people wearing their faith on their sleeve. Some of the finest people I've ever known in terms of personal conduct and setting an example for others have had a significant involvement in their church or synagogue. But they were private about their beliefs. They led by example. Stating over and over how much your faith informs your life means nothing. It's how you actually live that matters. America is the land of religious hypocrisy. And it's growing.
