Palmer is injury defaulting to Bubba.

Shoot! I hope his knee is ok! He is walking on it but not with much weight at the moment!

Even with the loss in the consi championships, Jason had a GREAT Big Ten tourney. If he wrestles the way that he did this weekend, don't be surprised to see him win a match or two at nationals.

A couple more Sponseller comments...Tyler Safratowich took 8th at 165. I doubt he'll get a wild card. It's not a "tough" weight class even though Saf is a good wrestler.

Franklin Gomez last season was ranked top 3 as a true frosh and ended up not qualifying for nationals.

Bob: A pin is called any time your shoulders are flat. Doesn't matter whether or not you're in control.

Hank,
you're a former coach so u should know, but i see wrestlers all the time on their backs but in control and they are getting back points off that (i call it) Iowa tilt where they use their leg to tilt the opponent back to the mat???

adding to the puzzle, in a AA match at NCAAs last season, Pucillo is on his back tilting Todd of Michigan to his back but gets no points awarded (ref later told coach Ryan that Pucillo had "no control") --- then after a while in this hold Todd reverses Pucillo for the win, i thought that was strange, but i'm no officiating expert.
