Is Fishbach an upgrade? If so, how much?
General comment--the ground seems to have shifted beneath the feet of the buckeye program. We're seeing things that never used to happen in terms of decommits and guys leaving.

Face value I like the Chittum pick up. I don't know a lot about him but stylistically I could see him being a good fit training with Mendez, Stieber, Jaggers, etc.
Only concern is this is his 3rd school. Of course... he can't transfer too many more times before he graduates, so maybe it's low risk, ha!

Pat mineo said some good news is coming to the buckeyes. It looks like munaretto is going to commit tomorrow.
However Jason nolf made a comment on pats post and seemed to be excited. I’m not sure if nolf is planning on somehow joining buckeyes staff possibly?????
Stiles would be a great addition and has beat Williams and McNeil last year. Go after him

Jason Nolf would be a huge addition for the Bucks. Loved the way he competed and he'd bring those PSU training methods. If you can't beat em....

In a crazy turn of events in the last 24 hours looks like Ohio state really has some momentum going. Munaretto is going to commit, Ohio state looks to be the favorite for Stiles, and Fishback seems to be in play. Then Jason nolf is publicly rooting for Ohio state on a national forum. Tom was probably getting fed up by everyone calling for his job.

I thought Nolf was focused on grappling and BJJ as he has retired from competitive wrestling. Could be wrong. I would be pleasantly surprised to see someone like him on staff but who would it be at the expense of? tOSU has a pretty admin heavy staff with TR, Jags, Stieber, Jordan, Ralph, and OTC coaches Scott and Kollin. That’s a lot of resources tied into people not competing. Hope all this good news is on the mark.

Jason nolf was just a guess that has no backbone other than him making a comment in a forum. Jason nolf has made two comments in multiple years on that forum so why would one of them be he seem excited about the buckeyes? Seems strange to me and maybe I’m reading into it too much. Would love a new outside perspective if somehow it did happen. Coleman Scott I’m betting is on his way out as he has his own camps in Oklahoma that he will probably be concentrating on.

Sounds like Peyton Kellar from Ohio U went in. 5th in 2024, didn't compete the second half of this season. Unfortunate for the mid-majors to lose top talent but that's the world we live in.

Hate to hear it. He got hurt in Vegas I believe. He and Thompson were a formidable 1-2 punch for OU.
As for his timing, he's late to the party.

Mendez and Stiles would be an awesome duo. I think Stiles has a lot of upside. Fishback is strong player and feels like Pinto situation. So close but came short.

With Fishback, he never gets blown out, other than Keckheisen. 3 of his losses were to the same guy and all close.
I think Rogo is fun to watch but when it doesn’t go well, it really doesn’t go well and that was a lot of times this season.

Rogotzke is fun to watch, but like most true Greco guys (i.e. the Kuntz brothers) they have limited leg defense and eventually get figured out. They take him down, don't try to ride him and play the TD game. Ryder is most dangerous when he is the one being ridden, so most guys just let him up and go get the 3 point TD. That's why it really hurt to lose Welsh.

Rogo lost to McEnelly 3-2 in the state finals their senior year. Rogo bumped up a weight to wrestle him. Two different paths since then.
