which campus is the closest to the Columbus one?

because if I get into one of those (grumble) I would look at that option and transfer..but I'd still like to be a stat girl for the team.

my other option would be the University of Cincinnati. my sister is a sophomore at Mount St. Joseph in Cinci, so I'd be right next to her, and we have family down there as well. So, if I don't get into OSU (knock on wood) I'll most likely go there.

Maggie: Anyone that loves wrestling as much as you deserves to be a Buckeye.

Coach Ryan--pull some strings. This is one recruit you have to have!

Oh, Maggie--can you wrestle 174 <smile> ?

Good Luck!

Maggie,

Here is my opinion of UC and I am 5th year senior there. Don't go there. Sacrifice one year if you have to go to an off branch such as Newark which is the closest of the three branches. UC offers nothing of a college experience. You are gridlocked in one of the worst parts of Cincinnati and it is one of the largest commuter schools in Ohio. The crime is high, the tuition is high and the parking is high. If weren't for me having a son I would still be at Ohio State to this day.

thanks! I talked to one of their coaches yesterday (Joe Ryan) and he wants to meet with me next weekend during the state tournament.

keep your fingers crossed!

and Dan, a bit of a downer, huh? I toured UC in the summer and LOVED it. But i get what you're saying about the campus being reeeeally nice and then right when you step off campus...it's reeeeally not-nice.

So let's hope for a YES from Columbo!

Everyone atack Tom Ryan next weekend and tell him to get me in! =)

Obviously it is a HUGE jump to D-1 college wrestling, but was Weakley expected to have this much trouble this year?

I think it is typical for a true frosh wrestling a very tough big ten schedule, to have the kind of season. Plus in weakleys case, I don't think he was very polished going into college, he was just stronger and more athletic/explosive then everyone. This is not meant to be a knock on him though, he is really tough and i look for big things from him in the future.

Thanks. I was not knocking him at all either, but was just wondering.

Wow, Minnesota matches up quite well. Where we are strong with Humphrey, Jaggers, and Palmer, they are even stronger with Reiter, Rivera, and Schlatter. Reiter has been kind of spotty all season though, so maybe we could pull off the upset special, I know Enright has had success vs. Reiter in the past.

Don't forget to utilize Buckeye Vision if you want to watch this dual.

Big "thank you" to Hank for pointing this out to me. I was unaware of this option. It was worth the $10 to get three streaming dual meets.
