Actually even if McKenna beats JO, the weight has not yet been qualified and there's only one event left to do so.

Is that accurate that Buckeyes will have 4 guys on US National Team.
Tomasello finished 3rd at 57KG
McKeena will finish top 2 65kg
Moore will finish top 2 97KG
Snyder will finish top 2 97KG
Could add one more if Boykins wins true 2nd match at GR 97KG

Anyone watch Benji Peak, 67kg Greco? That guy is exciting to watch and quite a character.

Special performances by McKenna and KMoore. Outstanding wrestling.
Questions answered. Do you have enough offense (relative to opponent)? Signal.
Do you have enough defense (relative to opponent)? Signal.
Position. Position. Position. Signal.
Discipline. Discipline. Discipline. Signal.
A 650 deadlift. Noise.
Bench Pressing 350. Noise.
Pundits talking. Noise. I blasted Lee Kemp on his commentary during a Big Ten dual on here. To be equally fair, John Smith was horrible in the booth.
Opinions. Noise.
Most everything else. Noise.

Dake takes first one 3-0. Burroughs looked like he had little for Dake.

Dake wins second match and punches his ticket to Tokyo. It is a shame they only have 6 weights in the Olympics or Dake & Burroughs both would be going to the Olympics.

Meanwhile every track event sends three from each country. $$$ rules.
The World Championships should do that — 3 in each weight.

Great strategy from the NLWC to get guys who were already best at the weight to train there and then have the most spots on the team.

Money talks.
Rex, I'd love for you to elaborate on what you mean by "noise?"

If there is a better heavyweight in the world better than Steveson, I got to see him. No one has come close this year, FS or folk to beating him. I've never been a fan of his personality but what a phenom, and that flip he does after the match, wow.

haha, i luv it-- LIFE is so much noise too. Shakespeare himself told us 600 years ago, "All the world is a stage, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
ok now to be more serious, Rex, tell me what u didnt like about John Smith's booth talk ? im just curious, not disagreeing.

Loved how Dake changed his approach with movement of the head, etc to give Burroughs more to think about than just tie up and attack. Especially after the way he attacked Nolf and previous opponent right off the whistle. Nolf was just over-whelmed.

You are a guy with a brilliant mind and have developed an amazing set of critical thinking skills. Your mind thinks and processes like an engineer or other hard scientist types. Most people don't (or even can't) process it all like you do.
I didn't mind John Smith's commentary for what it was. There is nothing exciting about listening to him. He was talking in pretty basic terms that probably connected with most viewers. He certainly wasn't communicating the level of real time critical assessment you were making for each match. That is what is special about you. And your thoughts are always appreciated when you share.
We are getting to the age where we just no longer need the noise. Sometimes it amuses us, but by and large, we are moving into that peace and quiet phase of our lives. Obviously you have always been more reserved and stoic than I, but even for noisey me...the noise is just too much.
I appreciate that there is so much more to you than just being the champ. Time to get the boat on the water and enjoy some peace and quiet out in the middle of the lake.
Enjoy the peace and quiet my friend!
