Growing up in the 90's it is almost impossible to not like the Iowa wrestling program. It all derives from Gable and in listening to him speak I do not see how you cannot completely admire him. The lineup of Chad Zaputil, Terry Brands, Tom Brands, Troy Steiner, Terry Steiner, Tom Ryan, Mark Reiland, Bart Chezlvig, (I forget the 190 but he was an AA), and John Oostendorp was the greatest team ever assembled with the greatest coaching staff.

Yes I agree it would be nice to see them enjoy their victories in post-match interviews but I believe that would go against that agressive, in-your-face, never slowing down style that is Iowa wrestling. During the season I was not a fan of Brent Metcalf - probably because I wanted Dustin or Lance to beat him - but after watching the finals and interviews he is pretty hard to not admire, and for youngsters to not want to emulate.
