I respect any belief people want to believe in, even if I don't agree with that point of view. I simply think we need to look at bigger picture here.
Your statement rings all too well with college wrestling these days. You hear words like faith, god, etc. about 10 times from many of these wrestlers in a 60 second interview, all while wearing a "100% Jesus" headband. Again, I respect one's views its just way too much too often in the wrestling world.

"Rob--I wasn't commenting on his personal life. I meant in terms of how he's perceived by the wrestling public.
I am not a fan of people wearing their faith on their sleeve. Some of the finest people I've ever known in terms of personal conduct and setting an example for others have had a significant involvement in their church or synagogue. But they were private about their beliefs. They led by example. Stating over and over how much your faith informs your life means nothing. It's how you actually live that matters. America is the land of religious hypocrisy. And it's growing."

It has more than legs; he is a regional celebrity. The arrest video is out there via local news. Not surprising they don't post the other sixteen dudes who were stung.

@Snyder_man45
I want to thank everyone who has reached out with kindness and support. My focus is on my relationship with the Lord Jesus and my family. This is not conclusion of my journey.
1 Peter 4:17-18.

His stated focus is a good one. Of course, when you do something like he did he won’t get the benefit of the doubt from the general public without the passage of time.
Hopefully this was his first effort at this, was stopped in time, and he can make a greater commitment to his family.

First effort at this is highly unlikely. He seemed to know all the lingo in his text messages and seemed like pretty comfortable doing it. Chances are this has happened before, just the first time he got caught.

"Hopefully this was his first effort at this"
By first, you mean hundredth?
His response was crafted so as to protect him from any admissions in future legal proceedings. There's not much he can say right now.

People were mentioning the texts on another forum but I’m not sure where to find them exactly. He was said to be using a lot of slang like qv which is slang for quick visit in the escort world amongst other types of terminology. Things a normal person wouldn’t be using unless they probably had prior experience. This was not his first time and it was way premeditated. He left his camp early (a Christian based camp nonetheless) so he could get back to state college….. aka buy time to get this service without his wife having any suspicion.
I have heard some other stories from people that have known him and spent time with him and makes me feel a lot less about him and may be a fraud. Stopped rooting for him after he left Ohio state as he was the first domino to fall to make Ohio state drop down a tier ever since. Everyone makes mistakes and this one is going to cost him a lot. Rudis has already pulled his gear off the site and his college coaching career is probably dead. Is he he truly sorry or just sorry he got caught?
81 percent of human trafficking cases involve prostitution so many of these sex workers are being forced also. People keep sticking up for him and saying no big deal two consenting adults but a lot of the time that is not the case. Feel bad for his family, but Kyle Snyder not so much. He has made millions and had a great career already so nobody can take that away. Hopefully he can learn from this and make a positive impact again one day for the youth and wrestling community.

I don't really care to read through text messages, or see an arrest video, for that matter. I do know it's usually not the first time you do something wrong that you get caught.
He's irreparably tarnished his reputation, hurt his family, risked those relationships, and cost himself a great deal of money in the process.
What I would like to see out of athletes, at Ohio State and elsewhere, is authenticity. It's the ones that carefully guard their answers and clearly make an effort to present themselves in a particular fashion that you have to look out for.
