Agreed!
For all of the “OHST isn’t developing it’s guys” this seems to be a counter to that argument. Personally, I’d throw Malik, Romero, and Hoffman in that lot. Perhaps Mr. Wonderful, but I really don’t have a frame of reference from his UVU days."

Is this more of a view that they aren’t developing guys like PSU? Every program develops guys, but in comparison to Cael it’s not in the same realm. Without PSU Ohio State has at least two or three more team national titles, if not more.

Jared--you make a good point. Cael is on a small list of the greatest coaches in collegiate history. The only other name on this list since 1970 is Gable. Everyone else falters by comparison.

I have not read (red) the "not developing" statements as in comparison to Cael. I have always read (red) them as comparative to who the wrestler was two or three years previously.
Perhaps that statement is made in comparison to other coaches' and wrestlers' abilities - but I did not read (reed) them that way.
