Down goes Brooks to Coleman of ISU 9-7 but could’ve easily been a pin.
PSU beat ISU 22-12
125 PSU former #4 126 2 years ago is having a though time in college
Sounded like a great dual.
NC State beat UNI and Parker pinned Hidlay

Cue Rocky 4 scene, "he's not a machine! He's a man!!"
Even PSU has struggles.
Coleman hit Brooks on a well-timed "camp move" that normally only works when you are pretty good, and your opponent is bad.

Wrestling is an individual sport with a team element.
I get the frustration with some of the perceived lack of development. It always comes back to; is the wrestler able to create and score with quality attacks against top tier opponents.
Development occurs when details of an individual's wrestling are addressed and improved upon.
Basically, take what the person does and make it better.
Again, you have to speak the same language and connect the dots. Otherwise, SSDD.
Hence, that feeling you get when watching someone compete and they are so set in their pattern that nothing has changed. It feels like Groundhog's Day and you end up writing to a forum as therapy because you bled it out at one time. But, at the same time you're not connected to performance and outcome and it's not your problem.

I wish there was a like button I could click. It would be my way of saying I have nothing beneficial to add but well said. There are so many great points of view here. Like Brady's(camp move) or Rex's athlete development. Be well everyone your expertise raises the level of our sport!

Bill, wish I would have gotten to chat at FIGHT! Your daughter came up and said hi. You're doing a fine job raising that young lady. She seems willing to work and that will pay off huge in the long run.

"So, I'm asking you guys, who would you suggest for that job? Who, considering their current situation and history do you think would be an outstanding addition?
I have one, Ben Askren."
|
Rick, was that you that wrote in to Monday's Flo Wrestling Radio Live to ask Askren if he'd be interested in a head coaching position?

Yep, I think I asked if he would consider any coaching position. He said he would not, that he does not want to be in any position where he has a boss, like an AD or head coach over him. And I know he has a lot going on with his wrestling clubs.

I don't blame him one bit.
