"Took this from another forum and agree with it.
One thing I took away from what Bo said during Flo video is one of his goals is to go to a school where he can change a program. If he means what he says, that’s not PSU. He’s just another cog in the National Champion wheel there. If he wants to change a program he’d have to go somewhere that is competing with PSU and help that program overtake them."

I’m done talking about that kid from perrysburg. I would rather talk about the team up north at this point but let me tell you why Ohio state is going to land Bassett.
1. Ohio state ihas now 2.4 million more dollars to spend
2. Max effort the ones who send out his recruiting letters each week is located in Columbus Ohio
3. Dustin Myers is co owner of that same Max Effort
4. Dustin Myers was employed by Ohio state wrestling team and still works with them
5 . Rudis Columbus
6. Tom Ryan and Bo love Jesus a lot.
I mean if he doesn’t sign with Ohio state this would be an even worse blow for me. His biggest sponsor who is literally sending out his recruiting updates is affiliated with Ohio state. If we are gettiing played again like that kid from perrysburg I would be a little upset.

Love the passion, but I think you're taking things a little too personally. Being considered among a recruit's top choices and not winning out doesn't exactly constitute "getting played."
Lots of positive indicators with Bassett specifically that you mentioned, so hopefully it goes OSU's way.
But if someone chooses to wrestle for PSU, earn more money, on the best team, with the best coaches, and best RTC, what are we supposed to say? "What an idiot! What a traitor!"?

He was doing his freestyle training at the ortc and had a lot of success from his training there. Not at Penn state. I have no problem with him picking Penn state. It is more that everyone claims he knew he was going to Penn state the whole time but only kept it quiet to utilize the ortc. The staff used a ton of time and energy on him. So If that’s true, which some have been claiming, I do feel like Ohio state got played. All the way back at world team trials it was said that Blaze grandpa was telling people he was going to Penn state. He only waited as long to commit to make it seem that it wasn’t the case. Anyway I’m done talking about him and just explaining my stance. I’m sure the staff feels the same way at this point. If he committed to Penn state he wouldn’t have been welcome with the great training opportunity and that’s literally why he was 6 months later than every top recruit announcing. That is being played imo.
If Bo wanted to keep his recruitment neutral then he shouldn’t have used two Ohio state affiliated Nil as his biggest opportunities currently. Ohio state has a plan and knows what they are doing. Even gave Bo a dual meet at the Covelli. The staff has actually worked a lot harder on Bo than they did the kid from Perrysburg. Anyway I think Ohio state has a good chance and I like him more as a college prospect than anyone else.
Recent runner up finishes for recruits
1. Perrysburg kid ( was never going to Purdue)
2. Messenbrink ( Tom Ryan claims at least)
3. Carr ( Iowa state hired his dad)
4 Figueroa ( he openly admits he almost went to Ohio state but too far)
5. David Taylor ( Cael always had him so no chance really)
6. Kirkvliet ( thanks Benedict Arnold)
Bassett do not do this to me again lol.

That's a little much. I did state that I hope he gets paper cuts every time he touches a page in a book. I think that's fair. :)
GO BUCKS!!!

I see your point, fair enough. If he really was already decided 6 months ago, I would wager this had more to do with leveraging OSU's offer rather than the training opportunity.
It's a different game with the $ that's involved now.

Agreed. I don't know that I've ever seen TR & co. put on this much of a full court press for any recruit.
