Well the good news is he’s got another eleven days to get his mojo back.

Hope Feldman is okay, as well.

Bucks had a pretty darn good tournament.
And a GREAT day!!

Good thing he has 2 weeks to heal up more and work on conditioning.

You have to wonder if this wasn't at Penn State would Blaze have been hit with stalling in regulation? I mean, come on, he was all defense!! He was strictly set up to counter Davino, zero offense.

Overall a great weekend for the busk. Woulda shoulda coulda, but second place ant get 7 in the top 4 is fantastic.
I know it may be sour grapes, but how does Rocco keep pulling these matches out?!

Nick--In my opinion, Cannon had a remarkable performance when you consider he's been out since Jan 23 and may be recovering from knee surgery. Personally, I thought beating Catrabone with almost nothing left in the tank was amazing. I would have FF his 3rd place match as he'd already wrestled five bouts. I don't think Cannon is going to win a national title in a few weeks but my money is on him to find a spot in the top 8.

Hank-Nick is often wrong but never uncertain.

Bucks should be very proud of themselves. Great tournament, great season.

Actually 7 in the top 3, right?
And 8 in the top 4.

In any event, all in all a REALLY good performance.

Wanted to throw some of my thoughts out from the weekend. Great B1G from a venue and location standpoint. Would definitely come to another tournament in State College. Very nice people which is a far departure from my experience with Lion fans at other tournaments.

Bucks wrestled about as well as they could have hoped for.

Nic makes the most frustrating tactical decisions during matches. He probably should’ve been dinged for stalling more often in his 3rd place match. Logan was quite clearly frustrated.

Cannon wrestled an excellent tourney. His gas tank looked to be his problem against Duke and Webster. Otherwise he looked solid.

Geog impressed me all weekend. Aside from the last 3 minutes of his 3rd place match where he was gassed.

It looks like teams have decided that the only way to wrestle Jesse is to slow the match to a crawl.

The officiating was inconsistent when it came to stall calls especially against Penn State. The Bucks were the beneficiaries of lenient stall calls in a couple matches too.

The Nebraska coaches absolutely abuse the officials. All of them. Manning got into it verbally with a fan in the stands. Can’t do that.

Looking forward to seeing what this team can do in a couple weeks in Cleveland.

Amen. Nebraska coaching makes you not want to root for them.

McEnelly not being awarded a takedown in overtime was disgusting. Penn State was definitely the beneficiary of many close calls. The good news is the national tournament is in Cleveland where they might not get as many favorable calls. They might even be called for stalling.

P.J. Duke needs no help from the refs, however. He destroyed everyone and didn't require overtime. Scary good.

Really enjoyed the Mendez Hardy finals. They both love to wrestle and engage. Their matches are good for the sport.

I must say Stiles is a quirky wrestler, and he took a chance in the 2nd period with that move and got pinned, but up to that point he held his own against the #1 149 guy in the country. He got in on a few leg attacks that got stalemated, but was scoreless going into the 2nd period. Ya just never know what he will come up with, and maybe a few times they will work and he can surprise some people. In 2 weeks we will find out. His unorthodox style is starting to rub off on me.

Agree with most above, and only have a couple things to add...I bet of the limited time I spent watching, that I saw 70% PSU matches vs matches without a PSU wrestler involved. Even on Saturday when they were showing 4 matches/time, they had the PSU match on the largest window and the other 3 matches on the side, barely watchable. Didn't matter how the matches were going, PSU is the TV darling. Point is, I can't say PSU gets too many of the calls, as I don't see enough other teams matches to have a good perspective.

Second, there was speculation here and other forums about having 3 weeks off prior to the B1Gs and the team getting flat or out of wrestling shape...Ryan proved that false. This team was well prepared by him and the staff...compare our results in the loser's bracket on Sunday to Nebraskas - we finished second based on that as Neb wrestlers performed poorly in comparison. We had 4 third placers, one fifth and one seventh, meaning that we had 8 guys (counting 2 champs) scoring points on Sunday. Neb had one 7th place finisher add to the team points despite having 6 2nd placers.

As noted above, Cannon getting third had to be on sheer willpower. And Geog...awesome from him.
