Disagree Alex for many reasons but I'll say this and I'll let it go. Going deep here.
Society should care more about hearing the truth than being fed lies. We don’t usually think, I know this is BS, but I’ll believe it anyway. Believing something means thinking it’s true. When the truth gets buried, society ends up worse off.
Many may find it easier to believe a comforting lie because it helps them get through life or feel self important. If that’s you, maybe holding onto that belief feels better than dealing with reality. I say don’t insult yourself by falling into this mindset.
Honestly, I’m offended when someone lies to me. Just F’ing own it and move on.
