Dan,
Stenger at 285 is a good call for best frosh. He's a big, solid, athletic kid. Physically mature at 14 years old (as I recall). He will be a big impact type of kid in the year ahead, I'm sure. Those Massie boys aren't unfamiliar with the weightroom either. Coach McSurley will have him ripped and in top form.

Caleb Messerall (5th D1 140lbs) beat Matt Stephens at the Top Gun Tournament.

Yes, but it's by grade. Beating Matt Stephens (while impressive) would only help Messerall if he was also a freshman. Since he was a senior, you'd have to look to his 11-5 loss to Spicel in the state semis.

But, Michael, that's only if you want to get technical.

Geez, you guys with your stats and records.

On the serious side... Michael...try to make it up on Tuesday from 5-7pm. I've got something I would like to show you. And when I do show you just what I want to show you, maybe you could help me make the best of it. Otherwise, PM me.

Ooh, ooh, I know what it is!!!

A new-fangled move to tackle a someone to the ground by grabbing one of his legs???

I think I heard it called a "single" before, but that might have just been my buddy talking about his dating status. Or a piece of Kraft cheese.

Actually, Mr. FunnyGuy, you grab BOTH! legs.

While I have you the line...

When will you be gathering info for the upcoming season? Will your preview look similar to this (top class per weight per class) or will it be more extensive?

I'm going to assume it would be as the season approaches or after Ironman but was just wondering.

...single leg...don't be ridiculous. <Balki Bartokomous font on>

If we do it we won't skimp. Expect 16 per weight class.

A goal date would definitely be prior to the Ironman, maybe a few days, maybe a week. I'm not sure.

<thumbsup>
