Discussion Topic: Nikko Triggas wins Pan Am Junior Championship
Jack Muni added to this discussion on June 23, 2008

Triggas won titles in Greco-Roman and freestyle at the Pan American Junior Championships this past weekend in Cuenca, Ecuador.

Triggas went 3-0 in Greco-Roman on June 20 to win the title at 55 kg/121 lbs. Two days later, he swept the competition in freestyle. He defeated Jose Figueroa of Venezuela in the championship match.

Looking forward to his sophomore season. He's getting some great experience this summer, along with Reece Humphrey. The Buckeyes first 4 weights are going to be rock solid next year. <excited> <excited> <excited> <excited>

The US was by far the most dominant overall in all three styles...freestyle, greco, and women's.

The fact that he's wrestling 121lbs. does help keep his weight settled for next year. Granted he's not a high schooler, but if his weight were to fluctuate, that could pose to be a problem.

Way to go, Nikko!!!

And Go Buckeyes!!!
