Discussion Topic: How will Hrovat do?
Hank Kornblut added to this discussion on August 14, 2008
Someone asked this question on another thread and I think it deserves its own post.
Hrovats an interesting wrestler--one who seems to use guile and strategy to it's fullest potential. Don't forget--Lawal--arguably a much more skilled athlete--had Hrovat down one period and and a leg clinch. Had he finished the move, Lawal would have been in Beijing. Instead, Hrovat hit a crazy counter, won the period, and ended up winning the match.
Hrovat has a pretty fair amount of international experience but has never quite broken through in world comp. Is he ready to do it now?

Seems nobody wants to touch this one. Hrovat seems to step it up at the right time and knows how to use the current rules to his advantage. I say Hrovat medals.

Hrovat is so dangerous on with his turns, I could definitely see him having a lot of success. International competition is very unpredictable, though.
Hrovat and Lawal were exact opposites of each other and knew each other well. It's going to be a whole different ballgame against different competition, but Hrovat has a lot of experience and knows what he's going up against.
Good luck, Andy!
