Who's going to be sitting at their computers to watch Cejudo compete for the GOLD?
Me.
Who else?
If you want to watch, go to nbcolympics.com and scroll down the events link to wrestling. Click on it. His match will be bright and early.
It could be shown live on TV as well. We'll see.

4:20 for me Hank.
I'm going to try. I have a 9 month old, and this could be the only time I appreciate him waking me up at 4.

I was going to go to the gym at 5 but I think I can wait a half hour. If he can just win the first period, I might have some finger nails left.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
What a great effort.
Too bad MSNBC was showing Serbia v Cuba in volleyball. I will make sure NBC knows how I feel about not giving us Henry's GOLD live.
I love how Cejudo wrestles. ATTACK!
Best level changes since John Smith.

Come on Hank. Did you really expect them to play it live. That volleyball match was a heated quarter final match. The whole world was watching that replay from 10pm last night. It's not like Michael Phelps or Lebron James was wrestling.
Thankfully we have the internet.

I read that Cejudo cut 10 pounds in 90 minutes. I cut a little weight in my time, but I've never heard of such a drastic cut before in my life. Is this even humanly possible? Now if they said Zadick lost a ton of weight before his match then that would make more sense because he did not wrestle well.
Also did anyone notice that Zadick had a baseball size bulge on his chest under his singlet? Does anyone know what that was?

Zadick injured his sternum a couple years ago and has worn a chest protector ever since then.
As far as Cejudo's weight cutting, its possible, but I would think he was more controlled with his weight especially with the Olympics at stake.

Reports are that Zadick did lose quite a bit of weight prior to competition. It is believed that was a contributing factor to his subpar performance. Just wasn't the same in your face kind of guy he normally is. It's a shame to see his Olympic games end like that.

Don't kid us Hank, you got up at 5 AM to watch Serbia vs Cuba volleyball and you lucked into seeing Cejudo win gold, ha, ha!!!
Btw, who won that??? I had a few dollars on Cuba.
As I look back over a decade & more of Fargo trips, I would say the most impressive wrestlers ive ever seen out there were, in no particular order:
Heny Cejudo, Dustin Schlatter, Brent Metcalf, and Damion Hahn
. Maybe I am forgetting a couple others.
Why?
At a young age
they each
consistently dominated older opponents
in both styles, FS & GR.
Somewhere along the line Cejudo separated himself from everyone else.

Bob: The separation occured because Cejudo skipped collegiate wrestling to focus exclusively on freestyle.
Jake Deitchler has announced he is not enrolling at Minnesota this fall. Instead he plans to train full time in Colorado Springs.

Yep, those years at the OTC in Colorado Springs paid off for Cejudo.
J Robinson is not too happy with Deitchler according to the press release.
Might Deitchler end up, like Harry Lester did, at Northern Michigan?

Interesting trivia was mentioned on the online broadcast about Cejudo.
What other Olympian did Cejudo defeat at Fargo in Greco-Roman?
