Nice bounce back by the U.S. freestylers. Schwab, Heskett, and Williams all one win away from the Bronze, and have qualified their weights for Beijing. Unfortunately Coach Heskett is wrestling the athlete from Azerbaijan for the Bronze and I am sure we have all heard what happened to our man Harry Lester in his semi-final against the hometown boy. Good luck to Coach Heskett and congrats on a fabulous first trip to the World Championships (win or lose.)

Tommy and Joe both made it to the bronze medal match but did not win.
Ohio State is very happy to have two great role models like Joe and Tommy representing The USA and Ohio State.
They both did a great job winning the US Open and Team Trials and got great experience wrestling in thier first World Championships. They were as close to winning a world medal as it gets.
Proud of both of you.

Joe and Tom's performances are a source of pride for all Ohioans and USA wrestling fans. I'm thrilled with what they accomplished and am excited for the Olympics with, hopefully, Tom, Joe and Harry.

Ohio State has a great thing going in the room just with the coaches alone. You have 2 world placers as coaches plus the World team assistant in the room. Then you have Tom Ryan, this could be easily one of the best coaching staffs in the nation.
