Tony Jameson verbally committed to Ohio State tonight. I just got off the phone with him and I'll put up an article with some quotes by tomorrow morning.
Great signing for the Buckeyes!

Huge pick-up for the Buckeyes. They keep the most electrifying wrestler in the state and probably in the nation in state. Jameson adds even more depth to the middleweights there. I would love to see if Meade and Oliver will sign here as I hear they have official visits here shortly at Ohio State.

That is great news!! <smile> With Enright, Jaggers & Humphrey graduating in the next few years, it's not too soon to start filling those weights with quality recruits. Is it too much to think Palmer, Nemec & Sponseller will all move up into 157, 165 & 174 in a couple of years leaving 141 & 149 to be filled??

IF
Jameson goes 141, I might be able to think of a nice 149 pounder...who is looking to be yet another 4xer for Ed's...who is very good...who has a reletive wrestling for the Buckeyes currently and that same brother was freshman AA last year...but I won't say who it is.

This is a solid signing for Ohio State. Jameson projects nicely to the 149 weight in college (maybe 157 depending on his frame).
His offense and scrambling ability is very impressive; however, in order to better compete in college, he will have to clamp down defensively more than he has in high school.
On the other hand, Meade and Oliver would be examples of EVEN BETTER signings.

Josh Lowe: I sat next to both of them last Saturday at Steelwood when they were in on a visit. Talk with them for a couple minutes too. It appears the Buckeyes recognize their abilities as well.

No doubt, the Buckeyes picking both Meade and Oliver would go a long way to creating an extremely competitive wrestling environment that'll produce all-americans, national champions, and a team championship. Tom Ryan has done a fantastic job so far and the future is looking much brighter. On a side note, when are the wrestling practices at Steelwood? I don't live too far away I just don't know what the days and times are for checking out practice.

For the second year in a row, Ohio has an outrageously talented senior that has signed with the Buckeyes. Last year; Sponseller. This year; Jameson.
I had not heard his name mentioned that often in connection with the Bucks but am thrilled they got him. While others may seem like more accomplished prospects, I don't think it gets any better than Jameson. He is a Ben Askren style competitor that can make miracles happen when he's on the mat. This signing will prove to be huge--assuming Jameson is a focused student with a desire to excel at this level. I believe he is a national champion level talent. Congrats to him and the Bucks.

Hank: If recent history has some bearing it appears Jameson will be a solid student as that is the type of recruit Ryan seems to pursue.
