ASHLAND JAWS/ WENDY’S JUNIOR CLASSIC
WRESTLING TOURNAMENT
SUNDAY, JANUARY 24, 2010
TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS QUALIFIER
DIRECTOR: Matt Tyrrell, Ashland HS Head Wrestling Coach
LOCATION: Ashland H.S Gymnasium, 1440 King Rd., Ashland Ohio 44805
ENTRY FEE:$20.00 per Wrestler

WEIGH-INS All weigh-ins for All ages will be Thursday 6:00 - 7:00pm in the HS locker room
Out of town entries may be weighed in and called in by their coach to Coach Tyrrell at 419-961-7268 on Thursday, between 6:00-8:00pm for all ages. All call in weights are subject to challenge if questioned. Call-ins must register at the head table immediately upon arrival.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all students ages 5-14. Age determined as of day of tournament. Bring Birth Certificate in case of a challenge.
START TIME: 12:00pm (Noon) for all divisions. There is no specific guaranteed rest time between matches. We will try to allow adequate time. Three(3) mats.
AGE DIVISIONS: 5 - 6 7 - 8 9 – 10 11 - 12 13 – 14
(Middle school wrestlers currently wrestling for their school’s team are not eligible to wrestle)
WEIGHT CLASSES:ALL weight classes will be determined after weigh-ins. We will attempt to keep the weights as close together as possible.
RULES: Double Elimination with three(3) one(1) minute periods, all starting on their feet, for matches.
AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top four(4) placers in all weight classes for all ages 5-14. NO team scores will be kept. The top three(3) place winners of all ages will automatically qualify for the Tournament of Champions.
