J.D. Bergman dec. Andy Hrovat 1-0, 2-1
This match was wrestled at 96 kilograms (or 211 pounds), which is Bergman's competing weight while Hrovat was bumping up from his competing weight of 84 kilograms (or 185 pounds). That said, it is an awesome win for Bergman. Hrovat was an Olympian in 2008 and his credentials are great.
First Period:
Pushout for Bergman (1 point for Bergman, 1-0)
Second Period:
Pushout for Bergman (1 point for Bergman, 1-0)
Caution against Bergman for hand to the face (Warning against Bergman)
Second caution against Bergman for hand to the face (1 point for Hrovat, 1-1)
Pushout for Bergman (1 point for Bergman, 2-1)

I see Bunch and Dlagnev also won. Congrats to them. Does anyone know if Jaggers competed? I can't find anything about it.

I'm pretty sure this is where Hrovat is staying now. I saw a Flo interview a while back stating that the cut to 185 was rough. He's listening to his body now and training smarter. I believe he made the jump right at or after the U.S. Nationals last year.

Thanks for the link, great wrestling. Mike Poeta looked good he has the movement that keeps opponent off balance. Question. given the time frame of the actual world cup, would Logan have been allowed to compete for a spot given he is in the middle of the high school season? I know he was fourth world team trials and third in the us open, does that qualify him for a chance to compete for a world cup spot?

What a great accomplishment for J.D. and the Ohio RTC as a whole. Too bad it came down to two Ohio guys at 211. I'd love to see both make the team.
