Awesome. I wonder if he'll start as a freshman with Barlow gone.

Kent cherry picks prospects as well as any program in the nation. This is a terrific pickup. It's hard to find a good 285. I'm glad to see a great Ohio prospect pick Kent. More of them should.

Mimmo is a great kid. We saw him on Saturday at a Jr. High tournament. He told us he was going to visit Kent yesterday, but gave no indication he was leaning that way.
Didn't I read somewhere that Kilgore was considering a bump to 285 for his final season? This might give Mimmo a red shirt year to make the transition to college.

Andrassy said that he might bump Dustin up occasionally for dual meets, should the match come to that.

Darn - the Bucks need a good 285. We can't Ryan get one?

Personally, I'm not sold on Tavanello to heavy, however, I will say that Ryan has recruited the guy he thought was best for the spot. Hopefully, between Ely, Karageorge, Capone and Tav, someone will step up and be a solid heavyweight.

Woody Hayes once said the word he hated most in the English language was "hopefully" -- the search for a 285 at ohio st goes on, its like the great migrations across the African continent in search of water, it goes on and on and on and on.
i like Mimmo, smaller 285 but active, lost 3-2 to Kuhar in Ironman semis, took 3rd. s/BobP

Tavanello is 28-1 on the year with 8 pins I think and 5 forfeits. His only loss was to 14th ranked Cody Klempay of PA in Nick's 1st action back from football.
On a side note and way off topic, I saw the Walsh-Wadsworth results and Walsh forfeited 182-285???

How did this become an OSU thread?
Congrats to Kent - seems like the answer to follow Barlow.

I've never watched Lytle, but it's awesome to see Kent State pick up these good recruits. I hope he does big things and has an All-American career for the Flashes.
