I mean, this is insane! Assuming Dake and D.T. make the finals, will this be the most anticipated final since... ? Ever?
Dake could pull out the most impressive feat in wrestling history, in my opinion. Four titles in four years at four classes.
Of course, I think you know who I think will win... D.T..

There is seepage from my left ear, and something oozing from my right eye...
I think my brain has exploded within my head with this info.
Where is this season's national tournament being held? Thanks in advance.

This is not the first time we've had multiple national champs at the same weight but perhaps this is the most anticipated matchup in the internet age.

Some other classics:
...In maybe THE premier ever: 1982, 167 champ Mark Scultz move up at wt to 177 to beat 2X champ Ed Banach of iowa, 16-8. Deprived Banach of being the first 4xer ever. Schultz won 3 to go with 3 World titles, both these guys all time college greats.
...Or maybe its THIS one: 1980 two all time greats, Randy Lewis of Iowa movs up from 126 to defeat 4X finalist Daryl Burley of Lehigh.
...for those that like scoring, 1979 at 118 Gene Mills of Syracuse beats Joe Gonzales of Bakersfield who was 58 & 0, in a wild final 16-14.
...1975 at 126 John Fritz of Penn st beats 4X finalist Pat Milkovich 5-5, 3-1 OT.
...1981, Ed's brother Lou Banach pins Bruce Baumgartner in 285 finals.

This will be similar to an Ohio state final from the 90's when Avery Zerkle was slated to go against Jeff Knupp. This match was tabbed as the "Match of the Century" by Brakeman! The anticipation leading up to that match was awesome. I have a feeling the Taylor/Dake match could draw a little more attention.

props to Dake for moving up and taking on the challenge. I'll be rooting for Taylor for sure, but if Dake wins, that would be one of the most impressive things I've seen, and if he loses it adds to the David Taylor legand.

I was out of the loop during this time. Did this match happen? If so, who won?

Yes -- wasn't really even close.
To add to @BobP's list: Nate Carr vs. Kenny Monday

yes, Carr beat Monday in finals twice. i could add the 3rd Mike Caruso of Lehigh vs Bobby Fehrs of Michigan at i think 126, the only time same guys met in finals 3 years in a row. Fehrs lost each by one point.
there have been some "matches of century", Knupp vs Zerkle was anticipated but there have been bigger.
However they very rarely happen at state, why not?? 3 Divisions.
in ohio hs action, NONE were bigger than at Medina, Brent Metcalf vs Dustin Schlatter and at Ironman Logan Stieber vs David Taylor.

I remember when I was a freshmen anticipating Dan Hanson going for his 4th title and Joe Bonaventura(I think that was his name) who had 2 titles of his own were on a collision course. In the finals Hanson manhandled Bonaventura, He was probably pissed that he was even challenged for his 4th.

Which team does this help the most as it relates to 157 lbs?
Is there an anticipated pre-season Runner-Up @ 157 lbs. who just got the break of a lifetime as a consequence of the pending "Class of the Titans" between Dake/Taylor (presuming they both end up at 165 lbs. for the NCAA tournament)?
Does this strategically provide tOSU with a scoring opportunity @ 157 lbs. that they didn't have before?
