Last year we had 412 wrestlers. Great competition and we started at 9:30 and finished at 3:15!
PERKINS PIRATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT
When: Sunday, January 20, 2008
Where: PERKINS HIGH SCHOOL
3714 CAMPBELL STREET
SANDUSKY, OH 44870
Sponsored by: Galloway Brothers, Porter Home Improvements, and The Perkins Athletic Boosters
Awards: RESIN WRESTLING STATUES (9 INCH-1st place, 8 INCH -2nd place, 6 INCH – 3rd place, & Medals - 4th place) in each weight class. First place winner in all weight classes will also be presented a champion T-shirt. There will be no engraving this year.
Breakfast: There will be a hot breakfast in the cafeteria 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM (pancakes, sausage, bagel, etc…)
Rules: Modified High School, Double Elimination. Two - 1 and ½ minute periods. All periods start on feet. Also, after all out-of-bounds calls, wrestlers will start on their feet. Sudden Death Overtime. Twelve-point difference in score decides match. (Tech Fall)
Eligibility: Age as of January 20, 2008 ** bring Birth Certificate in case of a challenge of age.
Entry Fees: $12.00 if paid before January 19, 2008. $15.00 if postmarked after January 17, 2008. Entries will be accepted at weigh-ins.

Weigh-Ins: Early Weigh-ins - Saturday, January 19 – 6:00 PM. to 8:00 PM
Weigh-ins - Sunday, January 20, 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Firm)
Wrestling Begins: 9:30-9:45 Wrestling Ends: 4:00 p.m. approx.
Admission: $3.00 - Adults, $1.00 - Students, $6.00 - Family Hot and cold food will be served all day!!
Weight Classes: Division 0 - ages 6 and under
Division I - 7-8
Division II - 9-10
Division III - 11-12
*Qualifying Tournament for The Tournament of Champions!!
Weight classes will be determined the day of the tournament!!
** Teams 30 miles or more may call in weights!!
**Wrestlers will only be able to wrestle in one weight class and division!
TOURNAMENT IS LIMITED TO 400 WRESTLERS!
