Then if you drill down in a postmortem analysis I suggest you will find the 125 in Div I as the toughest class of competition even though you have all the hype surrounding 149. For example, here is the buzz saw OSU freshman ran into;
Triggas 1 - 3 (#7 10-3, #10 2-6, #4 1-4, #14 2-10,)
Giant killer was Triggas defeated then #7 ranked by good margin 10-3.

#14 Humphrey 4-1 (NR 8-3, #8 4-7, NR 14-4, NR 17-4, NR 13-2)

Reese goes against #4 Slaton of Iowa this Friday. One might notice that 6 of top 10 ranked division I in this weight class are not from the Big Ten. Enright had big score at 141 this past weekend. Now sure what they do with Enright - might put him in at 157.
I cannot see him entertaining 141 as Jaggers beat #2 ranked this past weekend. It seems T.J. is no longer able to make 133 to beaf up that class as Reese has lost to #8 (4-7) and #10 (6-10) and #15 (3-6) at margins where mabe a senior gets over the top compared to sophomore in first starting role.

Triggas' win over McKnight was a pleasant surprise. As you pointed out, he's taken his lumps with the ranked kids. I also thought his 4-1 loss to Precin was rather encouraging. I didn't expect it to be that close. From what I gather he rode Precin a fair amount, and had the chicken wing going, but couldn't get him turned for back points. Maybe the next time they meet (Big Tens?) he'll crank him over. I remember last year when Livingston got beat bad by Gomez of MSU during the dual, only to cradle him in the closing minute of a consolation match at the Big Ten Championship. He held him in the cradle position for 45 seconds. It was fantastic. (it prevented Gomez from advancing to the NCAA's)

#9 Jaggers 2-2 (#2 6- 4, #5 8-9, NR 9-2, #13 1-3 SV)

another Giant Killer award: Jay Jaggers defeated #2 Stayer of Penn State.

I did not see the Hofstra close lost to Griffin to see how 17 points were scored. I put any of Jaggers loses on the coaching staff. Yes not an usual comment by most but there is a reason behind the statement. I have seen Jaggers do well with take down match strategy as he is extremely fast. Obviously, his love is the scramble leg stuff and for most that will work. And we saw him last year as sophomore go even with Schlatter at Southern with the all defensive mode. So it is up to the coaches to know very well his opponent each time and then sell Jay on the winning strategy as Jay is one if not the only one on the team - other than Reese maybe - that has such a package.

I couldn't even imagine Enright at 157. I know he is extremely thick, but he can't be taller than 5 foot 4. Johnstone has been having a pretty impressive season when you compare it to last seasons. He's getting some decent wins and keeping it very close with the top guys.

I saw an unknown 5 4 or 5 6 215 win the senior nationals because no one could handle his shortness for the class and his thickness. Now I am sure the Bucks will not do that as Jason is the live call in interview Thursday chosen by the coaches.

now for continuation of the exercise:

#10 Palmer 3-1 (#4 10-7, #5 2-3, NR 8-0, NR 7-1
Another Giant Killer award as Lance defeats #4 from Penn State.
The lost by one to Griffen kept him from being ranked #4 but who cares as Iowa brings in #2 Metcalf for him to enjoy yet another challenge in his young career.

On paper the lost to non ranked first year sophomore starter for Central Michigan was big in team score of 16-19 which would have been 19-16 with a win. But a closer look into Tyler Grayson has a wrestler who was 2x state champ from MO and second his sophomore year finishing 6th at Senior Nationals. In college he took the famed #5 Iowa State Cyler Sanderson to 3-2. Had a 8-2 loss to Minn C.P. Schlatter. Defeated Fulger of Michigan State 9-3. At Reno he beat #3 seed #14 Zupancic of Stanford 3-1 then loses in semi SV1 4-2 to #2 seed #9 Pami of Cal Poly and then again a close loss 7-8 to Oklahoma State #13 McSpadden.

only 3 ranked in top 10 are in Big Ten and two are #1 and #2
this could be the money maker weight class in the big one in the spring

Alex was close for a while to a giant killer with #3 Sinnott but had a bad third period.

Here is another cash cow weight class for us as only 2 are ranked in top 10 from Big Ten and thus he has great chance for good seed in the big spring outing.
