No Boyd? Could he have been bitten by the flu bug like some have been. I would love to see him and Kusar go at it.

Boyd did not wrestle in Graham's dual with Pleasant either. He is apparently sitting for one reason or another (injury or illness.)

I remember back in the day when I took my boys from Hamilton Township up to the Top Gun, Central Mountain came and always had a good team. Wouldn't it be great if they were still coming to this tourney. The Alton boys would make already interesting weight classes even more so. Dylan has been at 135/140 and Andy at 145/140. If Dylan was at 135 with Kolodzik, Skonieczny, and Wukie that would be an Ironman type weight class. If Andy was still at 145 with Jameson and Jordan, that too would be outstanding.

Where is Gasber at? Could he be injured would have added to the mix at 145 with Jameson and Jordan.

I believe the issue is that Gasber is ineligible for some reason because of the transfer. I also have heard that both superintendents agreed on the transfer, the diocese to which St. Edward belongs has written a letter to the OHSAA, and more have come up to bat in Gasber's defense. It would be wrong to not let him wrestle. Yet another snafu by the OHSAA. They really need to get things together or at least delegate responsibilities to responsible parties that have the best interest of our student-athletes in mind.

I thought you could transfer one time from a private to public school. When i went to lake catholic many kids transfered back to there home schools and still play sports w/o sitting a year. Didnt nate westfall do that this year, transferring from lake to perry or is there another issue, like leaving during the season or something.

I think the issue may arise when the student transfers midseason from one school to another while participating in that sport.

Graham dominating this tournament I can't wait for the Jordan vs. Jameson show down we all have been waiting for.

Inghram 2nd, Fisher 8th, Roddy, 2nd, Hightower 3rd, Swank placed, nice there, Mills second, Rosen placed. Nice depth there.

Quote from Dan Ransick's post:

"I think the issue may arise when the student transfers midseason from one school to another while participating in that sport. "

It still shouldn't be an issue. Didn't Mike Ward (2Xer from Mayfield) transfer mid-season from Ignatius back in '03?

Back on topic, great win for Ben Jordan. I don't think he's ever recieved the respect he's been due by many (including me). He's now the clear-cut #1 145-pounder in Ohio, while Jamison moves to #3.
