The C.I.T. is this weekend. There will be some great wrestling. Seeds are on Baum's page.

Great live video feed of the tourney on the web. Commentators for the finals did a pretty good job. Heavyweight final was actually closer than the 5-0 score as there was some silly stall calls (3 in 40 seconds) against Addis. One call was called for as he wasn't doing much on bottom except trying not to get turned. The second call came 20 seconds later as Addis was up on one knee coming out from bottom and was forced back to the mat. The third came 10 seconds into the next period as Hiles came to his feet and the official called Addis for stalling (no joke) less than 4 seconds later because he hadn't returned Hiles back to the mat yet. The official even admitted that call may have been a little quick. One takedown and one escape for Hiles. 3-0. This was not the only match in which there were some crazy stall calls. The 189 final between the kid from Moeller and the wrestler from Newark Catholic there was a double stall call about 25-30 seconds into a match in which there were two shot attempts. After that, the official did not make another stall call and I personally did not see any change in action from either wrestler. I would like to know what he saw 25 seconds into a match that warranted a double stalling, that he didn't see the remaining 5.5 minutes. If points being scored is the criteria that this official uses, then it is a good thing that he doesn't do a lot of collegiate matches.
