Mike Skelton will retire after this season. Some of his accomplishments include:
246-82-2 dual meet record.
42 state qualifiers.
11 state placers.
2 state champions.
Six Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference titles in 16 years
Qualified 3 times for the State Duals
Personally, I first met Mike while I was assisting John Rathburn at Hamilton Township. and Northmor and the Township. would take our teams to camp at Clarion University. Later, as the Head Coach at Bishop Hartley, I had a lot more direct contact with Coach Skelton at tournaments throughout the season. He was ALWAYS complementary about the kids and myself. He never showed a negative side. He was also very enthusiastic and you could tell that he truly enjoyed being with the kids and watching as they reached their goals.

There are wrestlers all over that movie. A high school teammate of mine (Ted Davis) is front and center in the scene that they are drawing names for the roof tarring team. He was specifically chosen because he was so short, they could have him there and still show the main actors behind him as they smile because their names are being called. Great man and a true charachter!
Mike always wanted to make Silver Knights into his own Knights. You will be missed but do not be a stranger.
