The last few years we've been running around like chickens with our heads cut off at state, squeezing in interviews and racing to get results.
We're not doing that again for a few reasons:
1. Baum's Page works with the OHSAA now to get results up almost instantly, so we'd be redundant doing that.
2. We also want to watch the great action.
3. I'm coaching there this year!
So I came up with two ideas...
Idea #1 - Webcams
How hard would it be to just run 3 webcams all weekend? If the video quality could be good and we could widely broadcast it over a website as a medium, maybe this could work.
Idea #2 - Do our own version of FloWrestling
Basically we'll call up Flo, find out how he does it, and do it for the state tournament. This might be the better option.

I hope you can get this done. I can't go to down to Columbus this year due to my daughter's chemo treatments. I'll be setting at Akron Children's Hospital that entire weekend with her. Second to being a dad (uh, and a husband, of course) I'm still a wrestler at heart and want to see whatever action from the tournament I can. Keep us posted on the video progress! <thumbsup>

Q. What are the RIGHTS FEE CHARGES if my station wants to telecast/cablecast the state
wrestling tournament by tape-delay?
A. The general OHSAA rights fee for a tape-delay telecast/cablecast of the state wrestling tournament is $50 per day per camera. Additional charges are outlined below depending upon your production plans.
Three live cameras would not be permitted by OHSAA rules. Must obtain a Photo pass and pay $50 for each camera. There is wireless on press row and in media work rooms. Upload to Flowrestling after each round. You avoid server/bandwidth problems using Martin site. I believe he is ready to provide this service for all State Tournaments in the US. Check with him.
Dan email me about this.

Three live web-cams would be sweet.
What would be even better would be to let the contestants peers know that this website will be doing it so they can watch too.
Good luck, big dog!
