The discussion continues with the toughest district of them all Massillon Perry.

103: Mines, Hannan, Toth, Ague
112: White, Bolger, Polley, Zupancic
119: Henry, Ciccarello, Hillock, Marks
125: Genetin, Mattingly, Chapman, Kretz
130: Squire, Horner, McCormick, Parra
135: Mencini, Liggit, Cline, May
140: Spicel, Sheppard, Lang, Lijoi
145: Jameson, D'Alessandro, Wiggins, Sheppard
152: Heflin, Greco, Demarinis, Rowe
160: Rhoades, Allen, Allen, Kovach
171: Harasyn, Stewart, Phillips, Randolph
189: Lamberg, Jontony, Saraniti, Denman
215: Cogar, Rasho, Zizfal, Hayes
285: Buzzelli, Jones, Johnson, Pope

Qualifer by teams:
Massillon Perry - 7
Uniontown Lake - 5
Brecksville - 3
Wadsworth - 3

Many teams taking huge casualties at this district with the depth. Wadsworth only getting out 3 at best that could really hurt them at state.

Hank,

Massillon Meatgrinder very appropriate. Look at the 125 weight class alone you have two state placers not making out and a host of other really good wrestlers.

Kenmore with 6. I would also look for 3 dark horses:

152 Harris
215 Newberry
285 Wade

I knew there was a team I was forgetting that was getting quite a bit out. I think if Kenmore gets those 6 out they could very well end up in the top 5 at state.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Harris of Kenmore made it out at 152 ahead of Rowe, but of course draws play a lot into that. Harris did impress me, though, at the Dies.

Look for Zach Stocum (Riverside) to take that 4th spot at 285.

It'll be tough of course but Zach has the skills to make it out and even make the championship match there.

Senior state qualifier Mike McCarthy , who was injured, is now done wrestling, which likely opens up another spot here. Another returning state qualifier, the sophomore Ben Buzzelli , won at Mayfield 6-3 over McElligott from Chanel (who went 2-1 with McCarthy at Solon). Buzzelli now takes over the role as the favorite. Junior standout Jeremy Johnson from Brecksville placed fifth at the prestigious Beast of the East tournament and had a very successful Freestyle and Greco-Roman season and I think he is the favorite to be in the final opposite Buzzelli. He did get pinned by Murray from Norwayne at the Dies, though. Uniontown Lake senior Ryan Jones pinned Stocum in the semifinals at Medina and looks like the favorite for the third spot. I would tab the aforementioned junior Zach Stocum from Painesville Riverside as the favorite for the fourth spot, but I'm rooting for him to be higher and from wrestling him and seeing him wrestle, I know he can.

Johnson was up something like 5-2 on Murray before the quick fall (it was a fall, just came out of nowhere). He was the better wrestler in the match, I wouldn't read too far into that.
