Patacil majoring Ryan Lang is a suprise. Patacil is a beast on top. I assume he tilted Lang for a bunch of nf points. Falk over Escobedo will go a long way towards deciding seeding at Big 10 and utlimately NCAA. Russell over Ruschell further complicates the crowded 141 class at Big 10. Jaggers has split with both these guys but I think gets the high seed b/c he is a returning AA.

Scott:
I have no idea how they'll seed 141 in the Big Ten. Keep in mind that the Vegas results are supposed to be disregarded. That would erase Russell's win over Jags and Todd's over Pucillo. Conversely, Jags pinned Ruschell in Vegas so that would also be lost.
If Jags can beat Rivera, he has a good shot to be the top seed at Big Tens as everyone is likely to have a few losses and he'll be the lone returning AA (unless Strayer were to return to Penn State's lineup). But at this crazy weight class, it might not help to be top seed as Garrett Scott, Keith Sulzer and the Illinois kid--all of whom are very tough--will be the lower seeds or possibly unseeded. Jags, Russell, LeClere, Prater, Scott, Rivera, Sulzer and Ruschell--that's a brutal weight.

I saw Palmieri-Bomberger on BTN. Palmieri hit an awesome ankle pick at the beginning of the match, and made that hold up until very near the end. He was leading 6-5 in the waning moments of the match when he shut down. Bomberger left his lead leg way out front, just asking for a shot with about 20 seconds left. Palmieri, however, had shut down. Had he at least taken a shot, he could have held on for the win. He didn't, however, and gave up the winning takedown with 4 seconds left. Two weeks ago, he beat Branvolt, and lost a close decision to the very good Marc Bennett of Indiana. He is starting to come around.
On another note, Keddy beating Bennett 17-5 is very impressive. Bennett is a solid opponent, and that is an impressive score. Keddy has looked awesome this year, and if he doesn't AA, I will be surprised. In fact, if you go from 125-184 in Iowa's lineup, the only wrestler I don't realistically see making AA is Morningstar.

I think when it's said and done Triggas qualifies for NCAA. He has wins over Cudd, McKnight, Purdue, Mich. St., and I think he beats Michigan next time.

Yeah, Triggas is interesting. If he puts in a tough ride, he might turn some people for big back points; but sometimes he'll ride but has trouble turning people. He's kinda a darkhorse, but talented enough to upset about anyone. Who knows? I thought Edinboro might beat him and he gets the 1st TD, puts the chicken wing in, gets the wrist, cranks him over, figure-4's the head, PIN! Bam, just like that.

The data I provided might not be too clear - the numbers to the far left is the ranking in the NATION. With the number next to weight class the average of NATIONAL ranking for the weight class of Big Ten teams.
I suppose with such a weight class they might allow 7. So then how does he avoid hitting any of these guys in first two matches. Very tough job to get out but if he does I would think it would be a big spark for the team given this stacked class compared to his season.

Cliff, et.al:
The Bucks might not finish high at the Big Tens as they have several wrestlers that will struggle to qualify. Also, only Bergman and Pucillo seem like "shoo-ins" to make top four at their wts. Triggas and Johnstone have shots as both have demonstrated alot of skill in spite of in conference struggles. Picazo and Weakley would appear to be the least likely.
Still, if the Bucks have demonstrated one quality this year--it's heart. Guys like Jags, Hump, Spons and Palmer have always bounced back from disappointing losses. Indeed, the Bucks have been more ready to compete as the season goes on.
Bucks have had a fabulous season. At this point, one hopes they will remain healthy. That's been a key all year.

I simply put out some data points for facts as a base for discussions. Now I might stick in an opinion/observations.
Hank, et.al:
One of the data points to use in the handicapping is the relative strength of the class and thus likely hood to get out. Much attention is given to 149 because of all the hype loaded into the famous ones. However, 157 is the class of most strength - can you believe - #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 with lowest relative strength score of 4.0. Then look at 125 with #1 #2 #3 #5 with third most difficult realtive strength. So I do not think the odds makers would give us much of a chance of getting out in these two classes. And personally, I have not seen any noticeable improvement in either 125 or 157 as they have had to go through this gauntlet in the dual season. The good side is if they find a way to get out, i.e. because of relative strength they take 7 or more from Big Ten to NCAA and Ryan manages a seed at Big Ten to avoid early match up with big guys in the consolations then the NCAA could be another story since now the opposite is true as all the top seeds in NCAA will be Big Ten allowing for Nikko and Jason to gather some team points and who knows how much given the #3 NCAA Hellickson was able to pull off in these tournament conditions.
