Pairings: http://baumspage.com/nwdist/mh1/brackets.htm

A combination of NW/NE sectionals and looks to be the second toughest with St. Eds here.

I watched a kid at 152 from Elyria last weekend named Zack Goins. Talk about intensity. He looks focused and as if he is on a mission. Also saw Mitcheff and thought he was one of the best I saw until he wrestled Clark.
At 285 Byrd from North Ridgeville is undefeated all with pins but only has 8 matches this year. He is yet to be tested.

Dan: Not a big deal but at 171, Shaker's Ajayi beat the S-view kid handily at LEL duals.

I will reverse that then. Sometimes it is not easy to find results for dual tournaments.

Agreed. When I was coaching, the internet didn't exist (or it did but was nothing like today). I woke up every morning and took a scissors to the newspaper and cut out the results. That was my method of scouting. Now, many smaller events make neither the newspaper nor the internet. What a shame.

It may sound funny but I once used those results kept neatly in a shoebox to prove a coach was lying about the record of his wrestler at the sectional (it affected my kids draw alot).

Did the PD even have the district draws this week?

The internet has revolutionized the sport of wrestling more than any other sport. Now instead of relying on outdated magazine articles you have forums and results posted instantly on the internet. We get impatient today if the results aren't updated live.

How many rounds are being wrestled at Harding tonight?

I have heard their gym is not that big, how will it be getting seating if we don't arrive until sometime around 5pm?

The Marion schools are closed today. What, if anything, does that do to the District tournament tonight?

I just read on another site that a level 3 emergency will be the only thing to stop the normancly of the tournament and times.

...I think they said the same thing concerning the Titantic...whatever that means!!!

Gary: my guess is the tourney is still on. In 1990 the sectional tourney finals were wrestled despite a blizzard in NE Ohio. Call Mark Enie to double check. Email me if you need his cel #. I should have it.

Hank, thanks but we have it.

Chris springs on me as he is going to bed last night that he wants to go today and watch, so depending on the weather I might be taking a trip southwest this afternoon. We wouldn't get there until at least 5pm, so I am hoping seating is not an issue.
