Journeyman just underway. No NATO, Bo, or Snyder. Wonder why no NATO or BO? Would have loved to see the early outcome of Bo vs Valencia

If NaTo wasn't going to wrestle, I'm surprised they didn't bring Fitzgerald at 133 considering the great tournament he had at EMU last week.???

They'd have to burn Fitgerald's redshirt.
Lots of Bucks appear to be nursing injuries....Nate, Jake, Bo....plus I've heard Tav is out as well.
Bucks may not be as good in duals as we'd hoped without Tav to go 285.
Is J-Rod wrestling? If Jake is out an extended period can Kresevic go 157?

Fitzgerald is 3rd behind Nate & Pletcher, I didn't think they would be concerned with redshirting him.

Cary Kolat's idea: 4 NCAAs in 5 years. Wrestle everyone at every event. Then when the post-season/qualifiers come around, teams select/wrestle-offs occur to decide who will wrestle the post-season.

Hmmmm, intriguing idea. It would help to develop talent across the board.

Although Hayes lost to Kevin Jack this weekend, I am incredibly impressed by his all around skill. He hit two gorgeous shots in the first period on Jack. The second one he finished literally a half second after the period ended. New match if he gets those points. He'll figure it out.
This kid could end up in the title hunt with continued improvement.

I was also similarly pleased to see Jose Rodriguez' first work at 125 this year. I didn't know how he would adapt to the weight cut.
His early watches went extremely well.
An overtime loss to AA Cruz is certainly nothing to be ashamed of in your first college tournament as a starter.
I look forward to a good year from Jose.

Burcher and Kresevic also did well. Kudos to them. If Jake Ryan is not healthy, wonder if Kres can cut down and take over?

I followed the matches on TournaFlex.com and wondered why, at the end of the first, they flashed up 2 points for Ke-Shawn, only to remove it when the second period started.

Love it. No more ridiculous forfeits in dual meets.
