Congratulations to all wrestlers that qualified for the state tournament. Let's represent the district well. A special congratulations to the Bishop Hartley Wrestlers, Chris Fusco, Vincent Petrella, and Christian Addis. All three of you have worked your butts off...especially you little brother. Everyone remember wrestle hard and wrestle tough. It doesn't matter what you place at district you have the same shot to win state as everyone else. As I wrestle more in college, I realize that anyone can beat anyone at any given time. Good Luck and I'm really proud of you Vincent you have finally shown your true abilities. Enjoy it tonight and then get back to work.

Tony, as I told the boys Saturday, they are taking a "team" to the State tournament this year. This will be another great step in the process started by Coach Paige and carried on by your Dad. I think that next season with, Fusco leading the way, people will need to watch out for the Hawks. The Jackson brothers and little Zang will be in the mix along with a couple of other possibilities.
As for the rest of the Heath District, as expected, the Pleasant team looks strong and ready to challenge for the team title. Congrats to Northmor and Coach Skelton on another fine district showing and good luck next week at the State. Coach Skelton is class top to bottom and it is reflected in his team as they all rallied around Vinnie Petrella in his qualification match against Porter. Coach Skelton let his team know that Vincent was a coaches son (just like his son, 2008 State Qualifier Fletcher Skelton) and that was all they needed to know to show them respect and support. Thanks guys.
West Jeff will be a force for years to come. Reichle, Prather, Branham, Mickle, Gualtieri = tough, tough, tough, tough, tough.
Martins Ferry came on strong this season and Bellaire is still improving.
This is one of the deepest districts I have seen. People look and see that Pleasant dominated the district, but it was not easy for them. They just did what great teams do, they won all those tough 1 or 2 point, overtime type matches. Wilson had two tight matches, Reynolds beats Tinch 8-6 in the semi-final, Coomes beats Prezzia 5-4, Cooperider beats Prather 5-3, McCoy beats Porter 4-2, so on and so forth. I just hope that they have something left for this week. I am guessing that they will.
Good luck to all of the qualifiers next week.
