Discussion Topic: State Tickets... HELP!
Maggie Lamantia added to this discussion on February 27, 2008

I have a bit of a dilemma.

I bought a ticket. then decided i didn't want it because a friend of mine has two and I want the other one of his so we can sit together. So I gave my ticket to my principal here at school to sell. now it is a group of three of us going down tomorrow morning, so we needed another ticket. well, when i asked my principal if he still had my ticket, he only had the Session I ticket. So how should I go about buying tickets for sessions 2-4?

I just learned that scalping actually is legal in Ohio, but I don't want to pay more, but then again they could be sold out.

Dan, my man, what should I do?

Maggie: The state tournament does not sell out completely as the Schott is a huge place. You can buy individual tickets for each session at the box office. In addition, there are always people selling tickets at cost--usually if their son lost two quick bouts.
The only negative is that all the seats won't be together. But, in my experience, you can always sit together. Someone is usually willing to move around if an open seat is nearby.

Ask around with people you know first that would have tickets. To be quite honest if you are sitting higher up in the Schott you don't have to worry about you are sitting next to. The best bet is to see who has extra tickets or if they know of someone with them.

You won't have to pay to much for tickets outside the Schott maybe a bit above face value but it would be worth it to be able to see the action.

Don't worry about tickets to any session other than the finals. I really really hate to say it, but the best place to find your tickets for the finals are the scalpers unless you know someone.
