Discussion Topic: Escape the Rock

Bob P has given me some advice to post here in the past, so I'm following it. Hope this is not taken as spam.

Escape the Rock - located at Council Rock South HS in Holland, PA - has grown in the past 10 years to be one of the top tournaments in the country. Will always tip the cap to the Ironman as the toughest tournament in the country, but we can now stand with the other tournaments in terms of both top talent and depth, especially considering we limit our tournament to 32 man brackets. Over the past 2 years we have averaged over 2 state champs, over 9 state placers and almost 16 state qualifiers per weight class. One thing that we take a back seat to no one in the country is being a well run tournament that always runs ahead of schedule and provides great amenities and support to our competitors and spectators. We get you in on Friday night (or Saturday morning for some), show you some great wrestling, make everything hassle free, make the tournament easy to follow for your fans and have you out Sunday afternoon/early evening. (Always the Sunday before MLK day to ease travel concerns)

For the past two years we have hosted an Ohio team, with Cincinnati LaSalle finishing 2nd in a very tightly contested team title chase that featured 4 of the nation's top 15 schools. We have many of the top teams in PA and NJ that compete at our event, and teams from multiple states (including applications from Florida and New England this year). LaSalle wrestled a great tournament and had 9 kids place, including a finalist in Lucas Byrd.

We would really like to add a couple more Ohio squads to our field. For more information on our tournament visit

Our tournament application deadline is March 31st, 2018. There is an application form on our contact webpage and the dates for next year's tourney are January 19th and 20th, 2019. MLK day is Monday the 21st.
