His retirement in 1977 was end of an era, the dual meet era, the public school era, the strong family era that produced generations of wrestlers, the peak of the American blue collar/good jobs era-- alot has changed. one small gaff, Pat Milkovich did win one state title, in 1971 at 126. PatG said he never won one. His teams' overall record in dual meets was 262-25-2 (a .912 winning percentage). All were state records at the time he retired in 1977. Milkovich also guided the Mustangs to a record 103 consecutive dual meet victories from 1963-72 (still a record)." One public school. His book on how to teach wrestling sold thousands of copies. A video tape series on wrestling techniques received nationwide acclaim." Anyone know if any of those works are available online somewhere? I don't mind if I have to pay for it; I'm very curious to see them.
