I just saw on Twitter that Kyle Conel has just entered into the NCAA transfer portal. Hopefully he can heal up and finish his journey.

I wonder if he will follow Coach Hill to Edinboro.

Michael Beard is in redshirt and looking tough. If Conel transfers to PSU, will he start?

Tutolo wrestles for MSU now so perhaps that’s why Kyle attended. My money is on Edinboro due to Coach Hill and it’s proximity to Ashtabula. Both PSU and Edinboro have quality 197s so maybe he won’t end up at either school?

It’s not easy losing your top assistant 2x in 5 years. Also, Musser left in 2015. Can Mitcheff and Scott fill the void? Time will tell. The recruiting class this year looks solid.

Brian: can you give more detail on the class?

I'm taking the majority of this from other sites; I didn't verify dates, rankings or sources.
Earl Blake (Linganore, MD) at 125. He’s a 3x state champ ranked #16 at his weight. He was a NHSCA Junior runner up and a Fargo Junior AA. Projects at either 125/133.
James Limongi (Genoa) projected at 165. He’s a 2x state champ and 3x placer. He’s ranked #16 at his weight class.
Avry Mutschler (Lowell, MI) projects at 149. He has finished in the top-four all four years (1st, 4th, 3rd, 2nd). He was 8th at Flonationals and 7th at the Junior Folkstyle Nationals. He’s ranked as the 8th best prospect in Michigan's 2019 class.
Jacob Sherman (Olentangy) projects at 125. He placed 4th in 2018. He lost an early match at States this year and I didn't track down what he did on the consolation side of the bracket.
Chris Langguth (Rootstown) projects at 174 or 184. Placed 6th as a sophomore, 3rd as a junior, and 4th as a senior. He was a NHSCA Freshman AA.
Ryan Neu (Wisconsin) projects at 165/174. He is a 4x place winner, including 1st and 3rd. I didn't see anything published by KSU on him. I'm basing this off of a Wisconsin prep wrestling site.
Here's a link to an additional recruit that came in after the others. They must think he's pretty good with the Ian Miller name drop. He finished 3rd in 2019.

Sherman lost in the first round, won his first consolation match, and then bowed out after a loss to M. Bal (Fairfield).
Sherman was out for the vast majority of the season due to a knee injury. He entered the state tournament 13-0. That's 4 matches at Darby, and 4 at sectionals. I think he wrestled one tournament and a dual. It's tough to miss that much time and return to true form. I expect good improvement from him as a Golden Flash.
