Big dual Friday night so who you picking
125 Malik vs. Schnupp
133 Pletcher vs. RBY or Stossel who just wrestled vs. Michigan
141 McKenna or Ragan vs. Lee
149 Jordan vs. Verkleeren or Berge (Verkleeren just got beat by Amine)
157 Hayes vs. Nolf
165 Campbell or Romero vs. Joseph
174 Smith vs. Hall
184 Myles vs. Shakur or ??(Was hurt during Michigan match)
197 Moore vs. Bo
285. Singletary vs. Cassar (Just MD Parris)
Some great matchups and some big ? as to who will go for PSU and for Bucks.
If PSU is at full strength I don't see a way Bucks can win.

I could possibly see OSU win at 125, 133, 141 (if Joey goes), 149 & 184. That's 5 wins, and that's assuming Malik & Luke wrestle to their potential, but the PSU bonus points are going to kill the Bucs.

I truly hope we see the Bucks A line-up. Coach Ryan is fairly consistently stating that duals need to matter and should be part of the NCAA championship process, so we should see McKenna, etc.
I don't see a ton of bonus for PSU. 57 is likely. However, neither Cenzo or Hall push pace, they are very boring in fact. I think Campbell/Romero and Smith can hold those matches to regular decisions.
Will Moore get pinned? Can't see that happening either.
On the flip side, can OSU push for bonus at 25 or 49?
This feels like a 17-15 final.

I get the impression Cael cares more about beating Ohio State than anyone else. PSU will show up ready to go. Bucks can win five but key will be their fight in the matches where they're out-matched.
Last year the Bucks lost this dual because Nate was surprised at 125 and "only" won a MD. And Myles gave up back points in the last ten seconds because he stopped wrestling while on bottom. That cost the Bucks two team points. Snyder also only won an MD and Moore got upset by Cassar. Bottom line--Every sec of every match has to be fought hard. This dual could prove as tight as last seasons.

Does Kollin have a reasonable chance of beating Nickal?

What concerns me with Kollin is he gives up the legs a lot and Nickel won't be one of those guys he can horse around, he will finish his leg attacks. And he is tough on top. If Moore can keep it close, he might have a chance of wearing Bo down, maybe.

125: Heinselman dec. Schnupp 3-0 OSU. Will be close.
133: Pletcher MajDec. Stossel 7-0 OSU. Need bonus here.
141: McKenna dec. Lee. 10-0 OSU.
149: Jordan dec. Verkleeren. 13-0 OSU.
157: Nolf tech Hayes. 13-5 OSU
165: Joseph MajDec. Campbell. 13-9 OSU. Think Joseph's motor and offense will be too much.
174: Hall dec. Smith. 13-12 OSU. Other than an upset, hope to see a repeat of the Amine match.
184: Martin dec. Rasheed. 16-12 OSU.
197: Nickal maj. Moore. 16-16 Tie.
285: Cassar dec. Singletary. 19-16 PSU.
I hope i'm wrong but this is what i'm leaning toward. What could possibly fall into OSU's favor that I may not see coming?
Stossel is terrible on bottom and Pletch could get 2 turns & some other offense for a tech? +1 OSU
Jordan gets a major? +1 OSU
Campbell holds it to a decision? -1 PSU
Martin could take down Rasheed a lot easier than I thought? +1 OSU
Moore and Nickal battle it out for the entire 7 minutes? -1 PSU.
Pumped for Friday.

Stossel wrestled on PSU's club team when he first came to campus, and took 3rd at 125 in the 2015 NCWA Nationals. Glad to see he made his way onto their NCAA team and has spent time in the starting lineup.

What's funny about Nickal, at first glance he doesn't look that strong, ripped like some guys, but I've seen him manhandle some stronger looking guys. Very deceptive, is "stronger than he looks" as they say.

I recall seeing him “school yard sling†an opponent in the last week or two as if it was nothing, but can’t remember who...

157- Nolf by pin over Keshawn 13-6
165- Cenzo maj over Campbell 13-10
174- Hall by cement mixer over Smith 13-16
184- Martin by tech over PSU backup (duck job) 18-16
197- Nickal by 1st period fall in a cradle off of a Moore shot where he gets caught underneath or by decision (hedging) 18-22
285- Cassel by maj over Singletary 18-26

I am calling the upset at 197!!!! Moore shocks the world, and he credits his last name during his post match interview and gives me a wave in the stands!
