Since I, like many others, have more time on my hands at the moment, I got around to doing something I'd been meaning to do for a while, which was to find the most centralized location for all NCAA wrestling programs. Taking the coordinates of all 78 colleges from Google Maps and averaging them, it came out to be Clark Township, about 24 miles southeast of Indianapolis. When I included Cal Baptist and Bellarmine, which are currently transitioning to DI, the average was still only 35 minutes southwest of Indianapolis.
If I recall when we discussed this last, there were some people on this forum suggesting Indy as a good location. Coincidence, I think not!
Not that many people care, but when I did the same for all NCWA "clubs" the average location was Maryville, IL, 24 minutes from St. Louis. I haven't done the same for other divisions of college wrestling.

I personally have never been there, but I heard a lot of praise for St. Louis when they were held there, and while not dead center of the country, it's not that far off.

I've been to two of the NCAA's in St. Louis, and I think it was a great venue and also very accessible. Each year they've sold train passes for the duration of the tournament, which came in handy because I've never been able to get a hotel close to downtown.

I’m in. And my guess is - after this year’s absence - it’ll be the hardest ticket to get.
Good luck to all!
