I’ve watched both Wrestled Away: The Lee Kemp Story and The Sheik this week, both compelling.
During this down time, what documentaries would you recommend?

Currently watching Bobby Fischer L?ve.
Would like to know more of the psychology of this man. I’ve watched a few interviews from back in the day (early 70s). He seems fascinating and additionally disturbed. If this documentary is anywhere near true, his childhood had a profound and lasting effect on him.
EDIT: His relationship with his mom was dysfunctional at best. I’m positive an absent father added to the issue. I’d like to investigate Brooklyn in the 60s & 70s as well. Would add insight.
Plot twist: his “mom” wasn’t his mom at all! YIKES!! He’s like 15 now learning this. Crazy!

For any of you who might be cyclists like me, I just watched "The Least Expected Day" on Netflix.
It is the story of the internal conflicts in the Movistar Pro cycling team in 2019 (and there were LOTS of conflicts).
Six parts to it and each is about 1/2 hour or so.
In Spanish with English sub-text.

I watched a great documentary on the Russian doping operation. It started out as a cycling documentary but ended up being mostly about Russian doping. I believe it was called Icarus.
I watched one on the band Metallica after Jason Newsted left the band and Hetfield went through his first stint in rehab. It was interesting if you’re a fan of the band. Sort of an in the weeds look at the song writing and inner workings/dysfunction of that band.
A lady I work with was involved in a WW2 documentary that is on Amazon. I believe it is named “We shall not die now”.

Watched Ken Burns Country Music and am in the middle of his Baseball - both provide wonderful insights into life in the USA in the 20th century.
And I am not a country music or baseball fan per se, but love history.

Plus one for watching Ken Burns.
Evil Genius on Netflix is a crazy, compelling true story about some very twisted folks who decided to use a pizza delivery guy to rob a bank.

I agree on the Ken Burns country music documentary. I am not a country fan at all but I found the history of it very interesting.
Is the "Evil Genius" the story of the pizza driver and bank robbery up in Erie Pa from a few years back? I saw something on 20/20 or one of those shows about it. The whole story was both weird and fascinating.
