Other than possibly giving more time for freshman to "adjust" to college life and getting a good handle on their studies, I am not sure I see much of an advantage.
Am I missing something?

The one semester argument has been largely attributed to academics and general length of the season. Additionally I’ve seen some arguments where John W and others want to avoid the basketball tournament, which would push NCAAs into April possibilities. This would seem counter productive to the season length argument. I don’t see any major drawback other than how it would potentially effect tournaments like the Cliff Keen. Midlands, and Scuffle. I do think the argument is mostly academic in an effort to allow athletes to focus on exams and the like instead of all the other things associated with wrestling. Besides, how awesome would it be to finally get to eat at Thanksgiving and Christmas!
