Iowa & PSU do not need 133 lbers. He's from NJ, so perhaps Rutgers would be a choice for him?? The Bucs would grab him in a heartbeat I'm guessing.

Monday 57/65 from UNC. Considering Nebraska, Minnesota and Buckeyes
Teasdale 33/41 from Iowa and he transferred from PSU
Rumor Seabass 33/41 will soon be in portal. Be amazing if he ended up at tOSU and went 133. Rumor could be Rutgers since from NJ.
Eireman not in Iowa roster yet.

Honestly don’t think Teasdale is a big deal. He was never going to be a starter for Iowa and I don’t think he can start at OSU.
Rivera - now that’s a thing. Wonder if he’s being drawn back to Jersey.

I’m curious if Monday is really considering a drop to 157. He wrestled 165, and had some really solid successes. 157 makes sense for the Bucks but does it for Monday. Sounds like there is a possibility he even stays put in Chapel Hill.
Rivera to tOSU would be a shocker. He’d be a grad transfer and could go right away. Whether that’s at 133 or 141 no one seems to know. If it’s the former the Bucks could certainly go all in on him. I’m not sure they go after him if it’s for 141.
Honestly, I’d be pleasantly surprised if either ended up at Ohio State. Both Orndorf and prior transfers moved quickly after announcing their decision to do so. The McKenna transfer was talked about and courted for months. It’s tough to tell in these pandemic times what conversations could’ve or would’ve happened. I don’t think an athlete enters the portal unless they already have a plan in mind. Neither of these guys have any connections, loose or otherwise, to Ohio State. Mckenna was at least tight with Snyder. Fingers crossed!

If Rivera goes to Rutgers, that would be another Jersey kid going back home. With Soriano and Camp being two others, those are the one I can think of off the top of my head. Question is, is there a reason these kids aren't looking at Rutgers more seriously from the beginning?

Why is he leaving NW? Seems like they're constantly getting clobbered by defections (Micic, Sebastian, Rivera).

Hank-Add NCAA champ Jason Tsirtsis to that list. That program just can't catch a break.
Rivera to OSU makes a lot of sense for both sides. Rivera improves his training situation and the Buckeyes improve a soft spot in the lineup and allow Jordan Decatur a chance to sit for a year.

I know. But it just seems as if NW does a nice job building their program only to constantly have major talent leave. They are in a hard position. Matt Stornliolo and company have done excellent work under the circumstances.

The story I saw somewhere is that Northwestern does not have the grad program he wants/needs. I have no idea if this is the real story.

Hank I think some of the prior names listed may have occurred when the previous coaching change occurred and Storniolo was brought in. Micic is an inigma. Didn’t he commit or verbal to someone where else prior to starting at Northwestern and then transferring to U of M? The guy has to be pushing 26/27. Northwestern has definitely lost some high profile guys in the last five years, but I don’t think it’s an indictment on the program. How about Teasdale leaving Iowa? Will that kid ever wrestle in college?

A lot of talented guys aren't necessarily cut out for the D1 grind esp. at the highest levels.
Teasdale strikes me as fitting this profile although I'm guessing.

I remember watching Micic wrestle Nato at the MSU Open when Nate was a true freshman and was redshirting.
