Since we are still in our own little dead period, figured I would start a new topic to try to generate some conversation.
Do many posters on the OW post or at least visit other wrestling sites often?
For me, I post here the most, and Yappi.com from time to time. Both Ohio-based sites where OW focuses a lot more on the college wrestling scene, and Yappi is very high school-heavy. Billy Schaefer does a great job with his updates/rankings.
I visit TheMat.com occassionally, usually to read up on the International scene and sometimes college. (The HS forum is usually bleak) But I only visit as Guest.
I never go to any Penn st, Iowa, etc. forums as I never felt the need.
Just wanted to see what other sites many of you like to visit or also post on.

I visit Yappi once in a while and post occasionally usually relating to rules. Even then, there are folks who want to argue so I don't post often.
I visit the PSU and Iowa sites very infrequently. Iowa mostly for laughs as the vast majority of people who post on there are completely out of their minds crazy. They would not understand "fairness" in a match if it bit them on the butt. They are true
"fans" but nowhere close to being based in reality. Everything they see is based in black and yellow.

For a long time now my routine is to check Yappi, themat.com, InterMat, and Ohio Wrestling Net. I do so mainly to stay informed of what's going on at various levels. I try not to post a whole lot outside of here because, as others already pointed out, discussions can devolve into personal attacks on other forums.
Edit: just to clarify, I usually go to themat.com to read their news articles or to reference their results archives. I have to be pretty bored to start sifting through their forums. InterMat is mainly for news and doesn't have a forum to my knowledge, but I make it a point to steer clear of the comments section at the bottom of each article...
And speaking of results archives, I reference wrestlingstats.com all the time for past NCAA brackets or old Big Ten brackets. It's a great resource.

Themat.com is good for reading interesting topics, but to repeat again, many of those keyboard warriors have 0 filter and I don't even know if there is an Admin overlooking the forums. (I wonder if Jimmy Cinnabon ever checks out this forum ;) )
The only time I see myself going to InterMat is to look at the HS & college rankings that they do a good job of updating weekly during the season. Mostly everything else on the site is behind a paywall.

I abandoned yappi.com a number of years ago.
I check OWN most days and THE MAT maybe once per week.

I was a regular on Yappi for many years (I even moderated the hockey forum for some time), but haven't been there for about 4 years or so. That was actually where i got linked up with this site, i posted a question there and Dan messaged me about this site when it was still in its infancy, 2005 or so.
I actually found this world with the old Cleveland.com forums, which were something else.
I read The Mat regularly but almost never comment. I use twitter heavily, but for wrestling and other combat sports and other interests. @pcostilow if anyone wants to hear my rants about Christian fatherhood, martial arts, and outdoors and conservation.

I am less active than I used to be. This is my "go to" and occasionally themat.com
Honestly, I enjoy the discussions but so often it's the same topics repeated. At some point, it gets to feel like "ground hogs day" especially on themat.
I thoroughly enjoy a good story or a topic off the beaten path.

I'm mostly on OWN and it's the only one I post on. I'll hit yappi to read up on high school news, I posted there once and got into an argument, and that was it. I'll hit InterMat for the rankings and I used to read foley but I think that's behind a pay wall now. I'll hit flo up occasionally for news, I used to go there more often to listen to FRL before that went behind the pay wall. I'll also sometimes read stuff on trackwrestling when I'm there following a match\tournament.
