What I don’t understand is how Zahid pops hot at an international event and is suspended immediately from international and NCAA competition and its well known and documented in every major wrestling publication. There were all sorts of whispers about Fix testing positive months ago, and yet there is literally a media black out on any information connected to the positive test. Here we see seven months later, and we hear about the suspension when it’s 50% over. How is that possible? Or equitable?

100%!
Moreover, as mentioned by Christian Pyles of Flo Wrestling, Fix is probably going to be able to wrestle in the World/Olympic qualifiers, but when Jordan Oliver failed his test, he missed not one, but TWO opportunities at qualifiers.
Both situations (media blackout and ability to wrestle in qualifiers) seem incredibly fortuitous for Mr. Fix.

I think it entirely possible Zahid knew he was cooked when he did what he did with no reasonable appeal while, like it or not, Fix had some plausible deniability and thus a route to appeal. Also, wasn't Fix suspended during this time? I believe he hasn't wrestled freestyle or otherwise.
I like Fix but the prudent thing it to keep that crap out of the house so there are no mistakes. If you're a world class athlete this has to be a priority.

Does ANYONE really believe that this substance was for his Father??
Aside from the fact that it is not legal in any way, shape, or form ("Ostarine is a Non-Specified Substance in the class of Anabolic Agents and is prohibited at all times under the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement" ), what earthly reason would there be for his Father to have it at all??
IOW, keeping that "crap" out of the house should not ever be an issue. It should not have been there in the first place.
I think there thing that surprises me is that the people adjudicating this case actually believed this is a reason for lessening the punishment. Sorry but he got caught in an out of competition test. Now we know he can cheat and lie pretty well.
Sounds like Dad is a real stand-up guy too.

The fix is in. Or maybe this is paybacks for the Smith v Lewis fiasco of '84.

All it took was a few. I would think those few are in the VAST minority.

"The panel found that Fix ingested ostarine by drinking from a water bottle, which contained a supplement mixture as well as ostarine that his father had prepared for himself but left in the family’s refrigerator. Fix explained he was unaware that his father had added ostarine to the supplement mixture."
haha, the panel must have been on something themselves. .... who opens the fridge, and takes a drink from an already-opened bottle of water?
who puts a bottle with a dangerous substance in the fridge where it can be consumed by an unwary person? to quote James Brown PLEEEZ pleeez pleeez pleeez (pleeez baby don't go)

In reality, both drugs are used to achieve certain ends; to give an edge.
Both could be used for weight loss, but act on different chemical pathways. Plus, there are probably a dozen therapeutic uses for both.
It's all relative. IMO both were using to improve performance and did so without thinking they would get caught.
I'd say the integrity at that level is highly suspect at best.
