A couple of answers needed if anyone knows.

1- What happened to Marinelli that forced him to withdrawal? I feel bad for him, I was definitely pulling for the Bull this weekend.

2- What did DeSanto do to be removed from the medal ceremony?

Bigger question - will the ref that just called RBY for stalling 3 times ever work a match in Happy Valley? :)

How was that not 2?

Can someone pleas explain it to me - I thought if you had both feet and head to the side, that was a TD?

I’d also be interested in why that was not ruled a takedown. The official was out of position in real time but the video replay showed he had the other leg covered at the 4 second mark.

Sasso controlled the ankle longer than RBY did in OT against Fix.

I'll be on the other end, (even though i think it was a takedown). Remember Logan Stieber in the finals a few years ago. He was on his butt and the other guy was even deeper (unless i'm missing an arm or control issue) and they didn't call it against him. Id like to have a conversation if they were indeed different , or why did they consider that not having control tonight ?

On a side note. UNC stalled the entire match (or sasso made it look so ) - Even with this loss, Sasso Has given us a real thought to be happy as he is only a sophmore. He has the potential to be one of the best wrestlers to come through ohio pending injury and on going desire.

They actually changed the rule after the Stieber-Oliver match to make that a takedown. By definition at the time, that was not a takedown by Oliver.

Based on the current rules, Sasso absolutely had two.

However, NCAA wrestling officials almost never get overturned. It only happens when it benefits Penn State.

Sammy definitely had all of the right leg, then O'Conner turns toward Sammy and he grabs the left ankle clear as day. It's really upsetting that they won't overturn something like that.

There really needs to be some accountability for not over-turned calls that clearly should be. If that is the case , there should be no question when you have all those views. Complete crap.....
