One of my favorite wrestlers. I think 2020 was the end of an era! (Sad face)

I'm starting to believe a lot of the movement to other training centers has to do with being closer to family. These guys are done with school and may want to be closer to family. Joey McKenna(PRTC) & Myles are NJ guys, it made S. Rivera finish out at Rutgers. Just saying, it might be more of an influencing factor than one might think?? Nick Suriano wound up back at Rutgers.

I’m sure it plays a part! But it still sucks. Doesn’t help either that basically every major program has an RTC now

A decade ago the Ohio RTC was the premiere senior level training center in the US outside of Colorado Springs. I think you have to say that the NJRTC/Scarlet night RTC have supplanted Columbus as the top program. I guess you could throw the Penn RTC or Penn State up there as well. Jaden Cox is still technically a member of the ORTC but with the pandemic I don’t think he really trains in Columbus much. NATO is still listed as a member but he is at Duke, is he going to compete at the trials? With Myles departure your left with Kollin (who is probably 3rd on the ladder) and Dhesi as your top athletes. The Koontz brothers have had some moderate success on the Greco scene, but ultimately most of the athletes training freestyle are collegiate athletes. Iowa seems to have a similar set up with no real competitors outside of Spencer. Is this model really sustainable? When Logan and Snyder were coming into school you had Reece Humphrey, Jared Bunch, J.D. Bergman, and several others for college athletes to train with. Do we see this as problematic for the development of the program? Essentially, I’d question if the room is as good as it use to be.
