I see both of these two as generational talents. Spencer perhaps more dominant this season, but Gable at a much tougher weight class. 125 was basically empty this season.

Spencer seems like such a good person, could sway some votes. Gable with a bit of a polarizing personality.

Having said that, I see Gable's season as more impressive. Mason Parris is an absolute monster, a Jr. World Champ if I recall, and would win a title many years. Kirkvleit added to the bracket at the end of the year. Cassioppi very good but gets thrown around by Parris and Steveson.

Gable for Hodge.

Gable is shockingly excellent. Mason Parris would be a contender for an Olympic medal this year, and Gable comfortably defeated him twice. Also beat Gwiz.

I think it's difficult to appreciate how good he is. His dominance in high school can more or less not be topped, as he never lost and won worlds every year.

It's a bummer that he will going to WWE because he could be an all time great.

If I got a vote, Gable would get it.

Mason Parris is an excellent competitor but not anyone I'd yet call a contender for an Olympic medal.

Quick Gable Steveson story. There is a freshman 285 at Shaker Heights High School right now who is passionate about the sport. He reached out to Gable on social media and told him about how much he loves wrestling and admired Gable's skill. Gable called the kid and talked to him for half an hour about what he needed to do to become a great wrestler. This kid hasn't stopped training since.

My Hodge vote would go to Gable.

Hank, that is a great story about Steveson. I'd love to see him continue in college wrestling for a couple more years.

I'd vote for Steveson simply due to the more competitive 285 class compared to the 125 class.
