When will Tom Ryan announce a hire? Tervel's been gone for a few weeks now and if Ryan wanted to hire Logan Stieber you'd think it would have happened fast.
Anyone know anything?

The interview process is still ongoing. I had my in-person session at the end of last week. Quite a few hard-hitting questions after the initial "How do you dos" were complete.
I can say this - the person who lands this job will be capable, but much will be on their plate. Tom Ryan and Co. - from what I could tell - are done playing nice. They want stone-cold killers at each weight.
Looking forward to the announcement soon!

So Logan essentially steps into Tervel’s slot, and Bo gains a full assistant position. I’m curious if anyone else will be added in some sort of assistant role. The Bucks already have a pretty large coaching staff in comparison with most schools. I wonder if the other “volunteer” or assistant RTC positions get absorbed due to the financial constraints the pandemic caused. Will Logan still run his club, or does that become Kollin Moore’s gig? I know many were looking for an outside hire to bring some diversity of thought into the coaching philosophy, so I’m curious if other candidates even interviewed. Resume wise these moves make sense, but they were already in the room, so what will change?

I have no problem with the staff as currently constituted but they all need to do a better job...a much better job.

I'm a little confused. Does the NCAA now allow for three assistants on a staff? We've got Jaggers, Jordan and Stieber and none have the title of volunteer assistant.
Another question: if Jordan's no longer a volunteer assistant, might that position still be filled?

Honestly not sure how these hires help the Buckeyes current issues on bottom.
Bo is a Jordan, not sure I need to say more.
Logan was obviously better on bottom, but had his issues against elite guys (Zain, Dardanes).
Generally, the solution to a problem does not come from within, an outside influence is needed.
I hope I'm wrong.

That's not what the article says, but you're probably right.
Also, it says Logan "will continue to be the head of the Ohio Regional Training Center". I wasn't aware that he had been made head of the RTC??

Well...if I am going to be outdone by someone in this hiring process, I'm glad it was these two.
Go Buckeyes!

heres the breakdown Alex:
Jaggers and now Bo are the 2 assts allowed. Bo moved up from Volunteer. Logan who never been on ohio st staff is the new Volunteer asst. That gives us 3 assts who were murder on top and understand bottom.
Jared, yes, Logan was co-director with Tervel of the RTC, now he is the sole director.
aside, not that i know alot about it, however my 2 cents ive recommended to TomR to bring in Pat Milkovich for a couple weeks to do some clinic. Pat was one of the best ever top/bottom and he still is a disciple of the craft.
