Just looked at the preseason rankings on InterMat and they have a few interesting rankings as it pertains to the Buckeyes.
At 133 they have Echemendia.
They have Kharchla at 165, Smith at 174, Romero at 184 and Jordan at 197.
I don't think anything will be settled for a while, but I'm guessing that Earl has some info that's leading him to put those guys in those spots.

Interesting about 133. I think Hoffman beats Jordan. I’m curious about 141 and 157

Where in the lineup did they have Suriano?

I believe InterMat said they won't put transfer portal guys in the rankings until they declare what school they'll be wrestling for.

Echemendia to 133 sounds like wishful thinking.

I don’t believe any of those things. For returning pretty much the entire squad it’s interesting how many questions exist for this team heading into the season. It’s been an extremely quiet couple of months with the Buckeye program. We’ve heard nothing on the recruiting front, very little on the Rtc front, and frankly I’m a little concerned that I’m not hearing more about season tickets!! I keep hearing soon, but you would think there would be info to At least share. Feldman wrestles in a massive match coming up for
Who’s number one. Should be a real Donnybrook.

Jared: I agree. Bucks have potential to put a good squad on the mat but it has been a quiet summer. Hard to know what's going on.

geez, InterMat pretty much dissed Ohio St, except for the new guy Karchla at # 10 who i expect to move up once the season starts.. No one ranked above their NCAA tourn seed or placement doesnt show confidence in staff or program.
i expect better, whose right?

The rankings look spot on. I could see Karchla moving up during the season, but this is after a torn ACL, and I don't of anyone who that hasn't slowed down to one degree or another.
I would expect the Buckeyes to outperform these preseason rankings during the regular season, then return to form at NCAA's. I would love to see them do better, but I would be pretty surprised.
